I hope Toto found the Stranger In Town that took the hatchet to their song the last week in 1984. That might be the new champ for worst 4hr slashing.

It was a Heartbreaker that Dionne was butchered so bad on last week's 1983 show.

On this week's A show presentation from 1/31/81,the second verse of "I Made It Through The Rain" by Barry Manilow was deleted.

Add this week's 1977 to the long list needing Supersizing. BeeGees had Butcher Child and they were lucky compared to the hacket jobs done to Fleetwood Mac and ABBAs 1:50 Dancing Queen, who might be the new leader in the clubhouse!
Not even King Elvis was immune from the razor blade!

Too bad Ken Martin didn't supersize that show.

While You See A Chance to butcher Steve Winwood, take it which is exactly what the AT40 staff did this week in 1981 even though the show was now 4hrs.

The Circle was a lot smaller this week in 1978 as they diced Gordon Lightfoot down to a buck fiddy.

I wish AT40 played "Jungle Fever" in the length of 1 minute 30 seconds leaning in the style of "Ectacy When You Lay Down Next to Me", "The Humpty Dance", and "Mind Playing Tricks on Me".

I hope Gene turned off the countdown Before His Heart Finds Out his tune was crushed down to a minute twenty.... this might be the new leader for all time slaughter.

Seems like we were all scratching our heads about that Gene Cotton tune when they played this same show last year, too. 1:15-1:20 if we're being generous about the fade out. The whole 4/8/78 show would be prime for Supersizing the next time it comes around as an A show.

Somebody did wrong to Paul Davis' "Do Right" on 4/12/80 and chopped out the middle of the song in its first week on the countdown.

That somebody works for Premiere. It was not edited on the original and I would bet all the tea in China that it was never edited in 1980. Great song. Glad Premiere edited it since because of that and the post about it, I stopped the show I was hearing to check it out and hear one of his best songs. Not a story song but it is one of those flowing songs where one verse leads to the next, meaning any edit really does butcher the song.

It's just Facts of Life that Sometimes these 70s shows are butchered but even a Rich Girl couldn't save the guys. The razor blades were going even in the Spring Rain.
