He did that once with "Invisible Touch" by Genesis, starting his outro right after the bridge... extremely awkward sounding. I'm still trying to find out what happened with that Thanksgiving Day invitation with Nancy, Bob, Lisa, Tom and Grandpa on As The World Turns, but every time I watch the episode on YouTube, Walter Cronkite cuts in. And I've been agonizing over who won that Jets-Raiders game. I wonder if Premiere's butchered "You Light Up My Life" by Debby Boone on the recent AT40: The 70's November 12, 1977 playing might have set the record for a butchered #1 song in AT40 history?

On this week's 1985 show, Band Aid got cut down to like 2 seconds... that had to be Premiere's handiwork figuring no one wanted to hear Xmas a month later, right? I don't recall the original broadcast being cut out.

Between Sweet Slaughtered Woman and Jack and Jill getting butchered running up the hill, the razor blades were working OT this week in 1978. Add to the long list needing Supersizing!

I will never Get Used To these butchered shows! But just 8 months after going to 4hrs should have been Makin' It unnecessary!

On last week's 87 Commentary Casey told the story of how music was safer than hockey for Partland Bros. But not when it came to butchering as Soul City was cut down to 90 seconds.

I wonder if the producers made an effort to distribute these butcherings to different artists and labels as evenly and fairly as possible. They really sent a message of dismissiveness, even if that was totally unintentional.
