My favorite was Rick Dees' heart-felt statement just before Donna Summer's "On the Radio". Yes, That tugged hard on my heart strings.

Does anybody know how often iHeartradio will be airing the special tribute to Casey hosted by Kerri and Mike Kasem? I caught a little bit of it on iHeartradio a couple of hours ago.

Thanks for the post on details for the Saturday noon EST feed earlier this week for the special. Pulled it off the iheart channel today with no problem (though took a bit of work as technically the feed is unavailable for people outside the US) Love my fibre connection. Quality was reasonable. I doubt my local station will run it.
Anyone have the cue sheets for this special? For that matter, anyone have the cues for the AT 40 seacrest show for this week? Got that too.

Thank you, as it will make it easier to cut into proper segments, but does anyone have the PDF cues from premiere for this....assuming there is one? I'm a purist I confess and would like to get the appropriate cues to match the audio I recorded (if I can get the actual mp3's that premiere put up for download)

WGHN is airing the special right now rather than the 6/22/1985 show (which is going to air at 8:00 PM).
They'll also be replaying it tomorrow night at 6:00 PM before the regular 70s show airs.

WBBG did not play This Kiss or Thank You For Being a Friend so I would assume those are optional extras

WBBG did not play This Kiss or Thank You For Being a Friend so I would assume those are optional extras I think you have a point. We had this discussion today in the other thread (whether it was an iHeart vs. non-iHeart stations issue). But now, I think those were the optional extra(s) that were axed from the WBBG broadcast. Further monitoring of the show after tomorrow should validate your assumption. I haven’t recorded the show…but I know that at least “This Kiss” was introduced not by Mike (he was introducing most titles, Kerry just commented), it was Casey’s voice that introduced that song in the broadcast in what I originally thought was a single-song segment; But was segued in such a way it was hard to distinguish it from the main show.

A good reason why original cues from the show would help know what segments are what, and what is optional filler. God, don't stations have anything better to do then cut up something like this with adobe audition? The Classic AT40 channel is SEVERELY brick wall limited, with a bottom end boost.....in other words multiband processing, but somewhat listenable. One of these days someone will figure out this is the digital era. You don't need those loudness wars anymore. One of the reasons I like original mp3s and program discs. Usually no such thing on the source material

I have seen the cue sheets and these are indeed optional extras. Correcting and editing my playlist (above) from what Shadoe Fan said: Kerri & Mike Kasem’s tribute show playlist Songs played in full (in order by the segment): Pilot of the Airways-Charlie Dore Mama Told Me Not to Come-Three Dog Night Can’t Buy Me Love-Beatles (There’s Always) Something There to Remind Me-Naked Eyes Somewhere Out There-Linda Ronstadt and James Ingram Listen to the Music-The Doobie Brothers What a Wonderful World-Louis Armstrong The Best-Tina Turner Maybe I’m Amazed-Wings I Love Rock ‘n’ Roll-Joan Jett and The Blackhearts Home-Michael Bublé (*Optional Extra: This Kiss-Faith Hill) The Living Years-Mike + The Mechanics Every Breath You Take – The Police Desiree-Neil Diamond I Hope You Dance-Lee Ann Womack featuring Sons of the Desert Centerfield-John Fogerty When I See You Smile-Bad English On the Radio-Donna Summer Letter from Elaina-Casey Kasem My Father’s Eyes-Eric Clapton (*Optional Extra: Thank You for Being a Friend-Andrew Gold) Love Story-Taylor Swift Teach Your Children-Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young

While I did enjoy their tribute show, Mike Kasem made an error in saying that "Every Breath You Take" by The Police was "The #1 song of The 80's", when it was only at #4 behind "Endless Love", "Bette Davis Eyes" and "Physical" on 7/4/87 "Top Hits of the 1980's So Far".

Maybe he was thinking of Radio & Records? Casey himself hosted a decade-end countdown in December 1989 in which "Every Breath You Take" was #1, and Ryan Seacrest has said the same thing.
