I just saw on Facebook that Mike posted Casey passed away either last night or early this morning. Truly sad time for us but even more for them. Prayers go out to them at this time.

We knew it was coming but a sad day. Hasn't hit the media yet, but i'm sure it will in the coming hours. Rest in peace my friend.

I have seen it, too, what a sad news just on Father´s Day.
I think all us have died with him.

Early this Father’s Day morning, our dad Casey Kasem passed away surrounded by family and friends. Even though we know he is in a better place and no longer suffering, we are heartbroken. Thank you for all your love, support and prayers. The world will miss Casey Kasem, an incredible talent and humanitarian; we will miss our Dad.

Truly a sad day for his family and fans. I hope he's at peace, telling stories in heaven to Dick Clark, Johnny Carson, and Siskel & Ebert. Amazing how many icons from my youth are gone now.

I'm not sure if it is poetic justice or what it is. But to have Casey pass on what is the first Father's Day without my own father (who passed exactly a month after Father's Day last year), must be related in some way. But in both cases, while it is tough for yours truly, both men are much better off in heaven than here on earth where they were suffering too much during their last weeks and months here. RIP.

WMUR in New Hampshire just mentioned his death as Breaking News.
