Serious question, would this include hey I couldn't get the show that aired this weekend on the radio or this week on the IHeartRadio site recorded, can someone send it to me?
I ask because it's a show that aired that week and the person just had issues hearing/recording it offline.
Clarification on that for people would be appreciated.

Rob Durkee - was on the AT40 staff during the Shadoe Stevens years (listen to just about any of Shadoe's shows and you will hear Rob's name in the closing credits), wrote the book American Top 40: Countdown of the Century, and generally considered one of the top experts regarding American Top 40. |

Good question--that's obviously happened a number of times over the years, but has not been cited as an issue up to this point. Almost every week we get posts saying the DAR recording didn't work, the station screwed up, this weekend's show was 1979 and I missed the first hour, can someone send me part of the show? It's not clear as to whether that violates the rules. Personally I think those should be OK, as they concern stuff that Premiere is legally airing anyhow and some users wanted to hear those recordings but fell victim to technical difficulties or radio station mistakes, problems beyond their control. I do get the objections to those randomly popping up and asking for or offering copies of AT40 or whatever that often have nothing to do with what Premiere played this week; I recall one character clogging the board with spammy threads doing so. |

I have been on here for about a year and a half and I do not know of any member selling or trading shows. Outside this forum I have noticed a few (one in particular). I have always given a show away and never ask for anything in return.

Could we please get some clarification on if a recent airing of AT40 The 70s or 80s is ok to ask for? If it's all or nothing, that seems pretty tough.

Scott and/or Rob, a clarification would be appreciated sooner than later.
I didn't realize requests to buy/trade shows were so prevalent as to warrant this special thread. I read most comments on here, and haven't seen an inordinate amount of these requests lately. One here, one there, outside of the "My recording didn't work" comment that most of us have made one time or another. SMH

That is an infringement of copyright. ZERO discussion will be tolerated that in any way relates to "I need a show" or "I have a show available." |
