11/26/94: Shadoe played the 7" Remix of Gloria Estefan's "Turn the Beat Around", which has more of an intro that eases into the song with a violin-flavored melody. ETA: Also on 12/10. Both weeks had Actualities where Gloria herself spoke about something as the song was intro-ing in.

I think WYTZ Z-95 FM Chicago - Then Shadoe Stevens AT40 affiliate the 1990-1991 time - played the Def Mix of "Get Up" by Technotronic that was 8 minutes in rotation at the 1990-1991 time.

Has AT40 ever played the longer album version of Prince's "Alphabet Street" that features after the last "YEAH YEAH YEAH YEAH" a rap by someone named Cat that went (I can give the first few lines):
"Talk to me lover, come and tell me what you taste, Didn't you mother tell you life is too good to waste? Did she tell you Lovesexy was the glam of them all..."

AT40: The 70's 9/15/1979 had for an AT40 extra Leo Sayer's "You Make Me Feel Like Dancing" played with the longer album version with extra verse/chorus - Has the album version like this ever been played on AT40 when that Leo sayer song was on the AT40 chart 1976-1977?

I know in late 1987-early 1988 when Billy Idol's "Mony Mony" was on the AT40 charts the live version was played since it was the single, but on Rick Dees Weekly Top 40 at the same time, was that live version played or the original studio version played when it was on the R&R CHR top 40 charts that Rick Dees used?

The studio version was used in its debut week of 9/19 (and later 12/12 which was its final week), then the live version was played on 9/26, 10/3, 10/17, 11/7, and 12/5. I don't have all the shows, but those are the ones I do have during its run.

I haven't paid much attention to the Premiere extras, since I have all the original shows.

Does anyone know or remember what version of Hot Stuff was played on the 6/23/1979 show? I just heard it on the Classic AT40 channel.

2/6/1982: In the recap of the Top 3, was there a longer ending for the #1 song of the previous week of Hall and Oates' "I Can't Go For That"?

Is it me or does Hall and Oates' "One on One" on the 2/19/1983 show sound different than usual? It's not you - it's almost surround-sound-like, expanded stereo/theater hall sounding, which I think is the album version. The single version is the one that usually gets played, which is the version I have also (from their "Rock N' Soul, Part 1" greatest hits CD). Good catch! Nope, it's this ultra rare super punched up version that I've never been able to find. All the guys' million comps have the album cut, the slightly punched up commercial 7" or the totally different 12". I think it was played again 5/14/83 www.youtube.com/watch?v=pk9hNvfHu_M

I think AT40 on the 2/19/83 show played a version of "One On One" that is only available on the promo 45. The promo 45 had a 3:53 version that is the same as the commercial 45 and a 3:45 version that is mixed close to the 12" single version. The 3:45 version was played on the 2/19/83 show.
