Well the Ohio stations that air Casey failed me! WRVF in Toledo just played the Xmas music tonight, 11/12. WRVF pulled a 'WNIC.' No AT10 at all. WVMX did air AT20 on 11/12. Howerver, WVMX replayed the 11/5 show from last week. They probably planned to switch to Xmas and did not download this weekend show. But WVMX held off on Xmas music. Thus, last weeks show was redownloaded into the computer. At least during the rest of November and December, I can still listen to Casey Kasem Sunday night on OZFM, 8:30 PM EST or KDMX 10:00 PM EST.

Thats funny, because I know that in addition to WVMX both WMVX/Cleveland and WMTX/Tampa Bay also played last weekends AT20 this week. So that is three CC "Mix" stations that aired the wrong show this week. And I know WMVX and WVMX both aired the proper week's Backtrax USA shows. I wonder if it's just coincidence.

Add KDMX as the 4th Clear Channel "Mix" station, the reaired last weeks show. For the 1st hour, the correct November 12th show aired. But Hour 2 and 3 had the Nov. 5th show. I know Clear Channel has been 'letting people go' thought the US. It appears the person who sends out the synicated Premiere programming was 'let go' and the newbie just learned the job.

One of the things which could be bothersome, if the station that reran Leeza's show decides this whole Christmastime deal is more trouble than it's worth, they may just drop the show altogether. With that early Christmas in November, the show is unplayable for many many outlets. MAJIC 100 in Ottawa did an edited version of the AT20 yesterday, because they can't play several songs within this countdown. I have talked to the PD and they told me it really is a problem for their station. Most canadian (AC) stations are not going all christmas before December, some not before the second weekend of December ...... wich seems to be only natural and "normal" ..... because it's not Christmas in November, except for Clear Channel. It appears this AT10 Christmas was too much trouble for Magic 100 in Ottawa, Ontario Canada. Magic 100 no longer airs Casey Kasem.

It also appears this lack of AT10 Christmas was too much for WNIC. I noticed they dropped AT10. You don't see AT10 on their programming schedule. I guess AT10 would not switch to Xmas after labor day for WNIC.

I was wrong about WNIC dropping AT10. WNIC once again changed the timeslot. The AT10 Xmas rerun shows are airing Sunday 9 am to Noon. This new timeslot doesn't sound WNICish.

I caught the very end of this weeks AT10 Xmas rerun show, that aired on 12/10. They did not pick the rerun where Casey says at the end, 'join me next week for the Top 60 Xmas songs.' He just says 'join me next week for another holiday special.'
BTW - FIRE MILLEN!
DA BEARS!

Since AT10 is replaying the 2004 AT10 Top 60 Xmas songs again, I decided to pull up the CDs from 2004. This was the orginal broadcast from 2004 which I taped off WLIT from Chicago, then burned them on 6 disks.
Anyways, in Hour 1 in the first segment on the Part 1 show had an AT10 extra, JESSICA SIMPSON - What Christmas Means To Me. This AT10 extra was played right after #58's song, AMY GRANT - Grown Up Christmas List.
On Part 2 of the AT10 Top 60 Xmas special in Hour 2 segment 3, Merry Christmas Darling #13 by the Carpenters was played. The next show play was an AT10 extra. Guess what! It was JESSICA SIMPSON - What Christmas Means To Me. Thus, an AT10 extra was played twice in the same special. Even more amazing Casey's intro and outro from that song, he says the exact same messages.
Yes, the extra was played in two different weeks. However, someone at Premiere editing room goofed AT10 extra filler using the same song. I don't know if AT10 fixed this in the updated AT10 Xmas rerun in 2005. I'll have to check to see if this happens again on the 2006 rerun next week.

It turns out another AT10 Christmas extra was played twice. Its was THE BACKSTREET BOYS - Christmas Time.
You will find this song in hour 2 segment 2 in the Part 1 show. This AT10 extra was played after the #46 song- GLORIA ESTEFAN - Silver Bells.
This song is played again in hour 3 segment 3 in the Part 2 show. This AT10 extra was played after #5 song BING CROSY - White Christmas.
It appears Premiere Radio was trying to same some $$$$ with the RIAA.

Or they're just making sure people hear popular radio Christmas songs that aren't in the countdown. Remember...radio in 2006 is by nature repetitive.

For those who get this and are interested, apparently WPMA is running the AT10 Christmas Shows all day long today. At least thats what I gather by reading their website. The web address is www.q1520radio.com/
