I hope BeeGees got the name of the person w/the razor blade because on this week's 1976 show Fanny was hacked! I agree and the chopping of Dream On was pathetic!

I hope BeeGees got the name of the person w/the razor blade because on this week's 1976 show Fanny was hacked! I went through this whole thread. Many songs were mentioned but another song from the same Bee Gees Main Course Lp that "Fanny" comes from was chopped on all but 2 or 3 shows. It's "Jivetalkin" and they would cut it off after the second chorus before the bridge, for about a 2 minute song.

On this past weekend's presentation from 3/13/76,"Love Is The Drug" by Roxy Music was heavily edited.

Here's another one. This I found out not by listening to a show. But by looking it up on wikipedia. It's "A Fifth of Beethoven". And I concur with this as it happened multiple times. They actually list the length of it as 3:02 and next to it, 2:12 (AT40 edit). Imagine that having the AT40 edited length listed in wikipedia!

I'm sure that some of these mentioned were actually the official radio edits done by the record companies. That said, I've also heard plenty of custom hacked AT40 versions over the years.

On 10/23 or 10/30/76 that track barely lasted a minute (on Sirius XM, so not a Premiere edit.) More like “A Fifteenth of Beethoven”.

Seeing as how Wiki can be edited by anyone, I'd cast serious doubt on the veracity of there being sucha specific AT40 edit that is worth noting (as opposed to the scores of other songs that were chopped for time on AT40).

Wiki sucks, when someone wants to give reliable information they remove it, if another one puts up something false they don't bother, so Wikipedia is worthless! I did edit out the AT40 info by XF1998 from January 1, 2022 at 19:41 using "Uncited with no source" as a summary, let's see how long that lasts before it's reverted. en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=A_Fifth_of_Beethoven&action=historyen.wikipedia.org/wiki/A_Fifth_of_Beethoven

In another 1978 show in dire need of Supersizing last week Barry Manimellow suffered from maybe the worst hack job I have ever heard.

In another unlistenable 1978 show in dire need of Supersizing, it should be illegal to do that to Gordon Lightfoot! But he was far from alone, Player, EW&F all got the knife.

It was Shuckatoom that was butchered this week in 1977 as we hardly got any before Casey came in. They must have been super pressed for time.

We might have a new leader in the clubhouse. Joe Tex was 'Bumped aside almost every week.

Add this week's 1977 show to the long list needing Supersizing. H&O and Addrisi Bros got seriously razor bladed and we barely got to 'Bump for 90 seconds.

Would "Jive Talkin'" by the Bee Gees fit in this catagory?
