Spoiler
Week 16-36 CHR and Sia is still at number one, it is the song with more weeks at number 1 so far in 2016 and honestly I prefer the version without Sean.

Good. The other one was getting old and the removal of words made it sound even worse.

This one sounds like the old ones circa 2006. September is the new year month of radio.

I am still impressed at how great AT40 is sounding these days. The show is once again truly about the music and artists again. It's not Casey style, but it is as close as it ever has been in the Ryan era and it just sounds so good.

Yes, and the tell me something good section is not bad at all when it seems to be related to average listeners.

Actually I could totally live without that. It is something he does on his daily KIIS On Air show which I assume is also aired on the syndicated version of On Air. To me it doesn't belong on AT40.

Me too. All in all, it is as good a presentation of AT40 as you could expect these days. Instead of teasing before both the previous song and a break as Casey did, Ryan teases after the break but before the song that precedes the artist he is going to discuss and/or talk to. Scratch that as I listen to this week's show, he teases both ways. Keeps things interesting that way. The one area where Ryan is the antithesis of Casey is in chart data. One example is last week when he said that 21 Pilots had replaced themselves at #1 twice in a row on the Rock chart. So they did the same thing that the Beatles did on the Hot 100 in early 1964. Would have liked to know if that had happened on any major genre chart in between the Beatles and 21 Pilots feats.

Yes, but at least those listeners words are better than listening to what wannabe acts have to say . The show used to be like that , when celebrities words were aired with pointless matters.

Yes - the "tell me something good" segment is copy/pasted from his morning show. The XL morning show here in Orlando does the same segment. It doesn't bother me much.

Well, with all due respect to Casey and Shadoe I like TMSG better than LDD's/R&D's. At least it's shorter and positive, instead of taking up several minutes by reading a letter often telling us something bad, followed by an often sappy and/or overused song. (Though I admit I actually had a jolly good time laughing over one of the LDD's in the 1985 show replayed this week, but not because of what was actually broadcast.)

I put this segment on par with LDD's in that they are totally useless, unappealing, and fast forward button inducing.

The new intro seems to emphasize the music focus of the show, and the lack of any interviews with non recording artists was a nice update as well. The show has been sounding great, and my 7-year-old son is now into listening to it with me each week. He really enjoys Ryan and keeps track of the top 10 (and whether his favorites are on the top 40 still) the way I always did. Guess the baton has officially been passed... Funny side note: He won't listen to Rick Dees because he "doesn't like his voice." Lol

No gossip. Ryan tells people to call in and tell about something good that happened in their lives. He talks and they play it on the show with 2 or 3 people that say things like they overcame cancer or they are getting married. He has fun with it. About a minute segment.
