Followed by: 8/11/73 6/24/78 2/23/74, first hour currently playing. That should wrap it up for today. Curious to see which shows are on tap for tomorrow and Monday, beginning at 0900 MST. 11/14/70 is starting out Sunday's roster of shows. "Lucretia Mac Evil" playing right now. Right in the middle of 10/18/75 now. Assume something from either '71 or '77 will follow. And it's 9/25/71! That leaves only 1977 as a year yet to be played. No '77 yet. The next show is (drumroll): 5/11/74! Starting right now, 5:37PM MST. ...and still not giving '77 its due, they're wrapping up today's selections with the 5/6/78. Hopefully tomorrow we'll get to enjoy 'YLUML' in all of its glory.

Last night WPNC ran promos for the Labor Day guest-host marathon: 6:00 AM-Gary Owens (9/12/81) 10:00 AM-Bob Eubanks (either 1/9/82 or 4/16/83) 2:00 PM-Wink Martindale (10/11/75) 5:00 PM-Mark Elliott (4 hours, no idea which one but probably the 80's show Premiere offered after he passed away last year) 9:00 PM-First show ever (7/11/70) The first two shows have an iconic #1 (Endless Love and either Physical or Billie Jean) while the third one features Bruce Springsteen's first week ever on AT40 among its record NINE debuts. (from the 80s show thread.) 10:00 show is 1983. These are going to be great, have not heard any of these, except maybe when the 80’s ones first aired. Gary Owens, what a voice! Owens passed in 2015 and of course Elliott recently. Martindale is 88 and Eubanks is 84.

Anyone else going with the 9-5-1998 show didn't check in soon enough so missed the earlier airing

With no Larry Morgan introductions and WPNC inserting it's own extras at the end of the hours, it appears the 1983 Bob Eubanks show has yet to be properly 'upgraded' to be part of the Premiere package. Now playing as the second hour extra, "Debuting on the Billboard Hot 100 this week at number 55, here's Journey with 'Faithfully'".
For the third hour: "Affair of the Heart" by Rick Springfield, the highest debut on the Hot 100 this week at #53.

Hopefully the first show will be on deck for later today. 4/8/72 beginning now, 2:40PM MST.

EDIT: Sorry, I lied - the final OE is actually "Never Gonna Let You Go" by Sergio Mendes. My bad.

Bob Eubanks & Casey both worked for KRLA Radio in Los Angeles during the 60's. As did Charlie O'Donnell the long time announcer on Wheel Of Fortune.
