Labor Day weekend

I was interested in finding stations like Magic 103.1 WTOJ & Easy 99.1, that were foregoing the regular 70s & 80s weekly shows for specials. I believe WJER & KTLF did just that for the Fourth of July.

This week's scheduled specials are:

The 70s:"TOP FIFTY HITS OF THE 1970s" from January 5, 1980.
The 80s: Part 3 of "The #1 Hits of the 1980s" (Oct. 1984 – 1986).

Apparently, they play extras (I only heard the 3rd one). This will be replayed tomorrow at noon PT.

Strange show to go with in the station debut for AT 40.

Was not disappointed--this was a great show as remembered from 'back then'! Thanks to WMGN, "The Surf" (Hilton Head Island, SC), and WLS-FM last night, finally heard the entire three hours while awake!
Loved all of the fairly obscure R&B songs in the first hour (Chi-Lites, the late, great Bobby Womack [even though it was chopped], Don Covay, Tyrone Davis, etc.)

For the 1980's, it won't be the first Shadoe Stevens AT40 show from August 13, 1988 nor the first Casey's Top 40 show from January 1989 since these shows are both not Premiere Networks property.
