Which version of the Number Ones of the 70's is KOKZ playing? The current incarnations being syndicated are for the 3 hour version of the show, but KOKZ has it down for a 4 hour block.

Guess the 2000's are just too far forward for most of the oldies stations to go for but surprising just the one station played it that has come up. Maybe the variety is more popular at year end of 4th of July. Those #1 songs of 70's and 80's are offered a lot so it's a shame.

The iHeart Classic AT40 station today will play the 1998 year end countdown, for the first time in 25 years and 8 months. It was one of the many shows played in July 2020 for the 50th anniversary of AT40.

Not my luck today I keep missing 40-30 songs for the 2000 version. Always about an hour late to tuning in today.

Thanks for the lead, jmack19! Took my computer forever to access the livestream, so I didn't join in until #35 (fortunately, I wasn't a huge fan of most of the first five songs). Too bad more stations didn't offer the show this weekend. So far, KRTZ was the third one (that I know of, anyway).

Looks like KRTZ is having a computer malfunction. They just switched to the July 3, 1999 chart, with "I Drive Myself Crazy" by 'N Sync moving 35-33. Instead of hearing the story about Shaggy, we get one about Fatboy Slim instead, about how he had trouble becoming popular at first, or something like that, to tie in with his song "Praise You", slipping two spots to #32.
EDIT: Looks like the switch is for good, as they are in the beginning of Hour 2 and still playing the 1999 show. Oh well, such is life.
Since so few stations played this show, I'm hoping that some station plays this one as part of an AT40 marathon in the future.

Word is, later this year, there will be a separate iHeart AT40 station featuring 1998-2003 (and Casey's last show on 1/3/2004). Shannon sent those shows off a few weeks ago. I don't have an exact date or rough timeframe on the launch of said station, but it's in the works.

Specials: #1 Hits of the 1970's (from April 1975 until October 1976) #1 songs of the 1980's (September 1982 until October 1984) 9/2/2000 www.charismusicgroup.com/Cue%20Sheets/Revived%20Show/2000-0902.pdfExtras: Hour #1: "The Way You Love Me" - Faith Hill Hour #2: "Crazy For This Girl" - Evan & Jaron Hour #3: "Breathless" - The Corrs Hour #4: "This I Promise You" - NSYNC 1) Larry listed the tops of the other charts for that week. #1 AC was "You Sang To Me" by Marc Anthony. #1 Rock was "Californication" by Red Hot Chili Peppers. #1 Country was "What About Now" by Lonestar. He also said that Faith Hill had spent 4 weeks at #1 on the Country chart and that it was 2 weeks away from hitting the countdown. 2) Larry listed other Top 40 acts that featured twins, like the Bee Gees, the Breeders, Nelson, Soho, and a few others. It was 1 week away from hitting the countdown. 3) Larry said it was the highest debut on R&R's Top 50 that week, coming in at #46, and that it would go on to hit the Top 40 a second time the following year, peaking at #20. 4) When their album "No Strings Attached" debuted, it sold more than 2.4 million copies in a week, which was a record. And that record would stand for 15 years. The song was 3 weeks away from hitting AT40.

KOKZ actually played the original "Part 4' of the 4-hour-cut version of the Number One Hits of the 1970's special. It started with April 1975's 'Lovin'' You" by Minnie Ripperton. (In the newer 3-hour versions of the Number Ones special, 'Lovin'' You' was halfway thru the first hour of Part 5.)
