I noticed that too - very non-chalant, as if the show were a regular weekly airing. The show is actually from 9/5/1998, not the 1998 year-end show. By "regular weekly airing", I meant that it just sounded as if it AT40: The 90s was going to be a weekly thing. At no time did I think it was going to be the year-ender.

Close; it's actually the show for May 5, 2001.Seems to me that WPNC aired this one during the 50th anniversary celebration in July of last year. Not sure what the last show will be; since the marathon is supposedly 18 hours long, that would mean that the last show is three hours long; probably a 70s show. Perhaps one of the two regular 70s shows offered this weekend? Another question: How did Larry Morgan introduce this show (as, in his intro for the 1998 show, he called it "American Top 40: The 90s)?
