Listening to iheart channel and the Top 80 of 1970--and the songs are in stereo and the extra song, from the #1 LP of the year Bridge Over Troubled Water by Simon & Garfunkel is the Boxer, which in the original show it was Keep the Customer Satisfied--this must be a Ken Martin production.

I'll definitely be looking for that show this weekend! So glad that they occasionally offer bonus shows from the 2000s! It is so great to hear those songs again (since many of them haven't seen the light of day for over 20 years).

Who's likely to air 9/1/2001? WPNC is often a good candidate, but I just checked their website and saw nothing about this weekend.

KQMA KRTZ WSMG & WFMX.  KQMA KRTZ & WSMG usually airs show around 2PM.  WFMX has aired show 7AM this year.
WSMG is likely to air show again next Thursday at 7PM.

WPNC will have a marathon Monday from 6 AM to midnight, but they haven't said exactly what. I think at least the 1987 special and 2001 show should be in there.

Actually the promo that I just heard during 9/1/79 also said Top 30 so it was Bill Benjamin who made the mistake not secretman. And as for which year it is from this is the 80's 'B' show this week and somebody on that thread said it is from 1987.

Thanks for these suggestions! I had a recording all set up for WPNC for the 2001 show, but I had it start at 6am central time, not eastern time, so I missed the first hour. Since KQMA ran a 1990s show last Labor Day at 1pm CT, I set up another recording for 1pm CT and luckily got the first hour of the 2001 show.
