The Summer Countdown just wrapped up, and Dave announced that next week is the Top 40 plus extras from 1969. #1 is definitely "Honky Tonk Women" by the Rolling Stones. Longer songs were starting to appear in the Top 40, so definitely a longer show. Likely survey date is 8-30-69.

1964 is next, and is the longest year without play. #1, if Dave does 9-19-64 was "The House of The Rising Sun" by the Animals. Dave played that on today's special.
The show was great, but missing from 1965 was "Like A Rolling Stone" which was #2 in September, 1965. No clue why it was left out. It peaked higher than "Catch Us If You Can" which was included in the Top 5 of 1965.
