While listening to 10/13/79 show Premiere had this past weekend, I noticed that "Don't Stop 'Til You Get Enough" was promo single version. I recall AT40 having a custom edit of "Don't Stop 'Til You Get Enough". If anyone has the original show, can you verify if the promo single or AT40's edit was played. Both cut off the rap. The AT40 edit does not have the instrumental break. I'm thinking it's the AT40 edit, because the intro is longer than the promo, and the third verse is longer before the chorus begins. Yet Casey comes in right around the length of time of the promo version.

The AT40 version contains a chorus that is not in the promo 45, the longer intro you described, and an early fade. It was used on the 9/29/79 show, apparently on the 10/13/79 show too. So it looks like Premier did splice in the promo version.

On last weekend's 10-16-76 AT40: The 70's episode: Do you think the #40 song "Queen of My Soul" by Average White Band was edited originally by Watermark or edited down by Premiere? I ask that as WMGN plays this AT40: The 70's October 16, 1976 episode this morning. And now as I hear the October 16, 1976 AT40: The 70's show on WXXM Rewind 92.1 FM Madison, Wisconsin this Saturday morning, I think the complete 45 single version got restored - even if you can hear how it is really like on the Supersized Ken Martin WTOJ version of 10/16/1976 Sunday morning (as long as Ken doesn't do a mishap accidentally playing a part of current Ryan Seacrest AT40 by mistake like on October 9, 2023 interrupting supersized 10/13/1979). And for 10/16/1976: Was it Premiere that shortened Norman Connors' "You Are My Starship"?

I noticed that they played a slightly longer version of "Mickey" by Toni Basil on this week's 1982 show. Some of the instrumental parts were longer than on the single version.

On AT40: The 70's 10/26/1974 - The third verse following the bridge verse of the Hudson Brothers' "So You Are A Star" is omitted - PREMIERE'S HACHET JOB STRIKES AGAIN!
(This is the same show where Art Garfunkel's "Second Avenue" had the 45 version played, in the first Premiere airing on 2017 this was replaced by the CD/album version from Art Garfunkel's Greatest Hits album with the verse/chorus removed, but on the 2023 10/26/1974 AT40: The 70's airing the 45 version is back in!)

On AT40: The 70's 11/12/1977: Did "The King is Gone" by Ronnie M. sound shortened by Premiere if not Watermark to you?

12/13/1980 had two songs (back-to-back!) that were edited down to a little over two minutes: Woman in Love at 2:06 and Love On the Rocks at 2:09.

"Another One Bites The Dust" was also edited, but still over 2 and a half minutes. From what I recall from 43 years ago, both "Woman In Love" and "Another One Bites The Bust" were edited on the original show. I don't remember if "Love On The Rocks" was edited on the original show.

Nope, "Love On The Rocks" was intact in the originals. One thing I also noticed is a different split logo jingle to start H4S5 on the replacement disc show, than what was in the original show. It was the mellow intro, as opposed to one of the more upbeat jingles.

On AT40: The 80's 2/4/1984, which I am listening this morning via WXXM Rewind 92.1 FM Madison, Wisconsin, the second verse and chorus of "Send Me an Angel" by Real Life was omitted. Must have been a Premiere edit.

On AT40: The 70's 3/1/1975 that I am listening this morning via WXXM Rewind 92.1 FM Madison, Wisconsin: Did "I Get Lifted" by George MacCrae sound shortened by Premiere to you or not?

Premiere must have cut out a brief portion towards the end of Leif Garrett's "I Was Made For Dancing" on AT40: The 70's 3/10/1979!

There are a few edits in last weekends Premiere show that I am wondering if they are original edits or Premiere. From the 1983 show, "Twilight Zone" was the commercial single version with the 2nd verse cut out. From the 1976 show, "Fanny" and "Money Honey" were both edited.
