On AT40's return show dated 3/28/1998, the edit to "Truly Madly Deeply" (#2) was a strange one. They took part of the chorus, and inserted it right before the 2nd verse ended, which sounded very out of place. There's a better way to make that edit.

On AT40: The 80's 4/3/1982 these songs were shortened with a verse/chorus omitted:
"867-5309 (Jenny)" by Tommy Tutone
"Should I Do It" by the Pointer Sisters
...were both original Watermark and/or Premiere edits?

On AT40: The 70's 4/23/1977: "Lonely Boy" by Andrew Gold was missing a line from the last chorus. Is it a minor Watermark or Premiere edit?

"Young Americans" - David Bowie
"Love Won't Let Me Wait" - Major Harris
"Long Tall Glasses" - Leo Sayer
...all original Watermark edits and not Premiere edits?

I hope the SUPERSIZED 5/15/1976 AT40: The 70;son WTOJ has the complete versions of these songs that were edited down by Watermark and/or Premiere:
"Baretta's Theme - Keep Your Eye On The Sparrow" - Rhythm Heritage
"Shannon" - Henry Gross
"Boogie Fever" - The Sylvers

On AT40: The 80's 5/21/1988 Billy Ocean's "Get Out Of My Dreams..." had the instrumental break after the second chorus cut out! Original or Premiere?

AT40 05-27-1978, broadcast May-25/26-2024 as a "B" program. I don't know how to say it, but there is an odd edit on "Feels So Good" - Chuck Mangione (# 6 for that week), i checked up my old recording for that program and that edit was not there.

Hope the supersized 6/17/1978 AT40: The 70's show on WTOJ this weekend has a longer than 2 minute version of "Follow You, Follow Me" by Genesis!

Here is one that I think is an example of Premiere splicing in the promo single when AT40 used their custom edit on the original show. On the 6/17/78 Premiere show "The Closer I Get To You" was the promo single version.
On the 5/20/78 original show, AT40 used a custom edit of "The Closer I Get To You", which makes me think they never got a promo single and used a stock copy, playing their own edit or the full version. AT 40's custom edit is similar to the promo version, but there is a way to tell them apart. On the promo single, the first time Donny Hathaway comes in he sings "sweeter than sweeter love grows..." where at on the long version and AT40's edit, the first time he comes in he sings "over and over again...".
If anyone has the original show from 6/17/78, was the promo singles played?

On AT40: The 80's 6/29/1985 "Get It On" by Power Station had a verse and chorus edited out. Premiere edit?

Did anyone notice on the 7/16/1988 AT40: The 80's show that there was a butchered by Premiere part after the second chorus of Chicago's "I Don't Wanna Live Without Your Love"?

I noticed "Abracadabra" on Premiere's 7/31/82 was from a promotional 12" single, which runs at Lp pitch, cuts one of the verses in early part part of the song, and has most Lp ending. It it runs 4:37. I am wondering if this original or Premiere. If anyone has the original show maybe you can check. I do remember AT40 either playing the 12" promo version or the Lp version, not sure which, 42 years ago at least once, but I am not sure if it was on 7/31/82.
