For AT40: The 70's B show of 3/13/1976, "Love is the Drug" by Roxy Music (featuring lead singer Bryan Ferry) got shortened not playing the second set of verses after the first chorus! Premiere edit or original Watermark edit?

For AT40: The 80's 3/30/1985 "Forever Man" by Eric Clapton might have been shortened removing a verse or chorus to me if it was Premiere's edit hatchet job.

Speaking of editing, is it always the #40 song in AT40: The 80's shows or not at all when the countdown starts. It could happen to other songs on the AT40 chart by Premiere's chosing of the hatchet job, and to make room for each hour's OPTIONAL EXTRA.

On AT40: The 70's 4/2/1977: Was there a bad edit on "I Like Dreaming" by Kenny Nolan? Hope the supersized WTOJ version has it complete!

On AT40: The 80's 4/7/1984 "Holding Out For a Hero" by Bonnie Tyler got shortened omitting a verse and chorus, Premiere edit or not?
Also for AT40: The 80's 4/7/1984 "Radio Ga-Ga" by Queen had the first chorus and second verse cut out - Premiere edit also?

They don't edit to make room for Optional Extras. they are *optional*.

This week's AT40 70s show from 4/8/1978 "Sweet Talkin' Woman" by Electric Light Orchestra at #22 had its 3rd verse and 3+ choruses edited out for a time of 2:47, so minus 1 minute, segment total on the cue sheet has 6:12... I've been livin' (livin') on a dead end street I've been askin' (askin' kindly) everybody I meet Insufficient data coming through (She's gone so long) What can I do? (Where could she be?) No, no, no Don't know what I'm gonna do I gotta get back to you Oh, slow down (slow down) Sweet talkin' woman (slow down) You got me runnin' (run, run) you got me searchin' Hold on (hold on) sweet talkin' lover (hold on) It's so sad if that's the way it's over (Sweet talkin' woman) Original or Premiere?

That particular one was Premiere. Although during this timeframe, many songs were originally edited.

Not in that particular show, but many shows late in the 3-hour era containing ELO hits were originally shortened.

If 4/8/1978 gets played again on AT40: The 70's in a few years (3-4 to be exact, 2025-2026 are the target years, if AT40 70's/80's still get distributed to radio stations by those years) but as an A show and if Ken Martin is still active, that ELO "Sweet Talkin' Woman" could be supersized.

Speaking of short songs, is Ain't Even Done With the Night also a short one? It seems like it always gets cut off early; it came in at around 2:45 on the 4/11/1981 show.
