Foolish Beat on this week's 1988 show had a weird edit toward the end.

The second chorsus and the third verse was cut from "Margritaville". "Lonly Boy" was missing the second verse. 5/28/1977 "Margaritaville" was often edited in some way during its 1977 chart run, in part due to the increasingly limiting three hour format. Oh well; it's not as if we don't get to hear it a lot nowadays anyway.

The edit of Moonlight Feels Right on the 6/5/76 show was really bad

Elt's 'Sad songs' was edited, with the excision of the 4 'Sad songs they say'. Had to be a Premiere edit. Debut song wouldn't be edited, its 1st week on the chart.

Has 'Eyes without a face' EVER been played in its entirety by Premiere? It sure wasn't for the 6-16-84 show.

In January Premiere played the 1-31-87 show for the first time & now it's on the iHeart channel weekly. When I heard it I wondered if Duran Duran's "Notorious" was edited. Now today WBME is playing the original show with ads & after hearing it I realized they cut out almost half of the song.

On the 6-25-83 show, the guitar solo in 'Don't let it end' was edited off, as well as Dennis DeYoung's, 1st reachin' of the high note, when he sang 'Don't let it end this waaaay!'

Bad edit on OE 'Tell me somthin' good'. Only 1 verse, and several repetitions of the chorus.

Listening to the 4-25-87 show on WBME & they really butchered Prince's "Sign O' The Times" cutting out the High On Crack Toting A Machine Gun & Tried Reefer Now He's Doing Horse lines & replacing them with a odd instrumental section with chorus & then playing instrumental from the extended version at the end. Don't know if it was Premiere or Original but it sounded odd.

What happened to "The Rockford Files" on the 6/28/75 show? I don't think it was more than one minute long

What happened to "The Rockford Files" on the 6/28/75 show? I don't think it was more than one minute long It was about 1:20 and the original single is about 3:10. That segment (jive talkin'/rockford files theme) was two minutes shorter than the original cue sheets indicate, so it more than likely got the premiere "knife". I guess the repetitive nature of the song made an easy target for edits.

This one probably isn't a big deal since it was an extra during the Giants of Rock n Roll special, but Heart's Never had a really jarring edit towards the end of the song.

Did the original broadcast of the 7-9-88 show, have the St. Elmo's Fire, 2nd verse removed? Please let us know. Thanx!
