I hate to bring this thread up this early, but with everything that's going on these days, I suspect there'll be a station or two that's going to start going all-Christmas the day after Labor Day (or at least before October 1st). Replying to my own post from a month ago because that time is here: my local oldies station, the first station to go all-Christmas last year on October 25th, switched to all-Christmas at 12:25 PM today.

I know Rewind 92.1 WXXM Madison, Wisconsin - the new home in Madison for AT40: The 70's/AT40: The 80's - will never go all Christmas music in the November/December months.

When will KOOL 108 Twin Cities and 3WS Pittsburgh start going all Christmas music for 2020 but not carry the AT40 shows during that all Christmas music period? First weekend of November? Thanksgiving weekend 2020?

In recent years, KOOL 108 flipped the Friday prior to Thanksgiving at 5 PM CT. That day this year would be 11/20.

Some radio stations are already playing Christmas music. I mean come on, really? If you have Xfinity digital cable, you should check out the SOUNDS OF THE SEASONS channel. The Christmas music for the channel started Sunday, November 1, 2020 (replacing the Halloween music).

Some radio stations are already playing Christmas music. I mean come on, really? With Covid and the election I'm surprised we haven't seen more stations flip earlier.

Some radio stations are already playing Christmas music. I mean come on, really? Some Sirius/XM streaming stations started playing Christmas music on October 15! Three satellite stations flip to all-Christmas on Thursday, November 5: Hallmark Channel Radio (Ch. 70... presently the Billy Joel channel); Holiday Traditions (Ch. 73); and Holly (Ch. 105). A question for any radio personnel out there... why does it seem like stations flip to Christmas music on a Thursday? WNIC in Detroit (where I live) has almost always flipped on a Thursday with one exception... when November 1 fell on a Friday a few years back, they flipped on a Friday. What's the magic with a Thursday flip? I just don't want to hear the same 50 Christmas songs over and over again. I may sample those stations in small doses for now. Given COVID-19, I could see bigger ratings for Christmas music than usual.

WDZH The Breeze 98.7 started playing Christmas music in Detroit area on Sunday November 1st, beating WNIC, longtime AC Christmas station, to the punch. WNIC did play last week's Classic AT40 last Sunday in the 8am - noon US ET slot. I am not sure about this week. I think they MAY be switching tomorrow (Friday, November 6th.)
