I know most (if not all) of us here who write in the message board enjoy the '70s and '80s rebroadcasts.
But that time has come; no shows due to the changing of radio station formats to all Christmas music; therefore no AT40! Already, WMGA in Huntington is the first. No more eighties shows on that station until after Christmas. Today (November 18) was the final broadcast until the end of next month.
Let's help each other out and keep track of which stations are continuing to broadcast AT40 and which are not.

I understand the frustration. WRVF in Toledo, Ohio has not aired AT40 the 80s. WHNN in Bay City, Michigan has not aired AT40 the 70s. Casey's shows will not return to those stations until 2008. One station that will not switch to Xmas is WFCX from Traverse City, Michigan. Their website is 943thefoxfm.com They air AT40 the 70s on Sundays from 8 to 11 am EST. They aire AT40 the 80s on Sundays from 11 am to 3 pm. Their sister station WSRT changed to the Xmas format. WSRT studios are in the same building as WFCX. Thus, its a safe bet WFCX will have Casey during late November and all of December.

Sunny 101.5 flipped to all-Christmas last weekend. I don't believe it's full time - just for the weekends. "Totally 80s Weekends" are replaced with "Totally Christmas Weekends". But last weekend, they still ran AT40: The 80s, so I assume they'll be doing that for remainder of the season. They also did that back in 2002 when they were still running AT40 Flashback. At first, I thought that was because the show would be wrapping up its run at the end of that year, but I later realized that they were also airing their other special weekend shows. That's cool that they do that. I wonder if there are many other stations that do the same.

Hi guys - new member here. WODS-FM (Oldies 103.3 FM) - Boston - plays AT 40 on Saturday nights at 11 pm. But like all the aforementioned postings, they too have gone 24 hours all Xmas - actually, it started a few weeks ago! BY the way, GREAT SITE - it's good to know that I'm not alone out there concerning my AT40 affection. Mark

KXKL-FM (Oldies Kool 105.1 FM) - Denver - plays AT40: The 70s on Sunday mornings at 9AM (it is no longer played Sunday nights @ 9PM).
In all of the years I've listened to Kool, they have never switched over to all X-mas tunes except for the 24th and 25th of December, so I expect to hear Casey every Sunday morning. Unfortunately, they don't always play the optional segments, especially the 3rd one.

Time to bring up this topic.
As we all know, the all Xmas format will start up in November (some will start at the end of October). This will impact some stations airing American Top 40 the 70s and American Top 40 the 80s. Since Casey retired, more stations picked up the American Top 40 70s and 80s shows.
We can help each other out to list which stations will air AT40 the 70s and 80s during the months of November and December. You may also list the stations that most likely will prempt AT40 the 70s and 80s in favor of Xmas music.
I know in my area these stations will not air AT40 the 70s and 80s due to Xmas music: WNIC, WRVF, and WHNN.

WQMA will continue playing AT40: The 70's throughout the holiday season.
We are also already cleared, once again, to offer some amazing holiday programming this year including the annual 12 hour Mannheim Steamroller special that airs on hundreds of stations. This will be our second year airing that show.

Since there is at least one other station in Vegas which will do all Xmas, most likely KKLZ will keep their regular format, including AT40 the 70s (wish they would do the 80s as well) at 7AM PDT Sunday Mornings.

WLIF-Baltimore plays AT40-the 70s, but preempted it for about a month last year while they ran an all-Christmas format.
They did run special Christmas-themed AT10 shows last year during that time (I don't recall them playing that show regularly), but I'm not sure that will or can be done now with AT10 out of production.

WBBG in Youngstown starts their all-Christmas format around mid-November, but I don't know if they preempt AT 40: The 70s or not.

Last year, WBBG/Youngstown replaced the AT40: The 70s for the last six weeks of their all-holiday format with the AT10 Christmas special set.

WRBQ in Tampa preempted AT40: The '70s last Christmas and will probably do so this Christmas.
P.S.: I don't mind holiday music especially if stations plan to play them non-stop but they should only do so after Thanksgiving, not before. That's my 2 cents on the issue.

Last year, WOGL in Philadelphia played Christmas music, but they didn't pre-empt AT40: The '70s. I probably expect the same thing this year.
BTW, I'm a full member now! W00t!

Halloween is here. That means we lose several stations of American Top 40 the 70s and American Top 40 the 80s. As discussed in another section of this board KQLL flipped to all Xmas today.
If you listen to AT40 the 70s/80s on a Clear Channel station, you better start trying to find Casey on another station for the next 2 months.
