How I hope that these two stations' ratings tank! Stupidest move EVER. Absolutely. The way I see it, there is one thing that the coronavirus pandemic cannot cancel---the arrival of spring and the accompanying nice weather. (It may not have arrived yet for some of us, but it's coming.) The LAST thing I want to be listening to on one of these upcoming sunny spring days is ten versions each of "Sleigh Ride", "Winter Wonderland", and "Let It Snow".

Too late for Premiere in April for April Fool's Day week to slate for AT40: The 70's and/or AT40: The 80's to have their Christmas shows as B shows with the regular AT40 A show options?

Here's a comment from the RadioInsight link; I never thought of the whole "Christmas in March" thing this way (until now ):

Some people are even putting up their Christmas decorations (or turning them on if they never took them down). On TV I saw a large blow-up Santa wearing a protective mask.

Local B105.7 is going all Christmas this weekend, so likely no AT40.

At least they are not false advertising. The merrier days they are looking for is when they were ranked much higher. And not doing a POWER PIG to a rival radio station? Think back to what happened in Tampa, Florida 1989-early 1990's and in Chicago in 1991.

I hate to bring this thread up this early, but with everything that's going on these days, I suspect there'll be a station or two that's going to start going all-Christmas the day after Labor Day (or at least before October 1st).

I wish for the Chicago market WLIT 93.9 FM picked up AT40: The 80's to air Sunday mornings (The station previously carried American Top 20 AC and later American Top 10 AC from 1998 to 2004) if this show fits WLIT's RELAXING FAVORITES format, and if it did, when the station goes all Christmas music every November-December, plays the AT40 Christmas B shows.
If the iHeart owned WXXM Rewind 92.1 now has AT40: The 70's/AT40: The 80's on weekends, why can't the iHeart owned WLIT 93.9 FM Chicago pick up AT40: The 80's? Not even the iHeart owned WLTW New York City would carry AT40: The 80's even if WLTW goes Christmas music as well November-December.
Oh well, for south of Chicago there's WVLI Kankakee, IL carrying AT40: The 70's/AT40: The 80's Saturday afternoon/evening. Though I sure miss WLS 94.7 FM Chicago carrying AT40: The 70's and later AT40: The 80's after it dropped the show last year in January 2019.

WLTW did play AT10, (an edited 1 hour version) back in the mid 2000's. NYC hasn't had the benefit of hearing AT40 the 70's or 80's ever on their AM/FM radios.

Replying to my own post from a month ago because that time is here: my local oldies station, the first station to go all-Christmas last year on October 25th, switched to all-Christmas at 12:25 PM today.
