Here in Indpls, WYXB (B105.7) made the switch Wed morning (11/26).  I'm presuming there will be no regular AT40, the 80's, shows until after Christmas.

KQSN - Sunny 104.7 - Ponca City OK. I happen to click the link in the 80s station thread just before 6 PM PT and heard "Who Can It Be Now?" (number 21). They did skip the optional extra, though. The 80s station thread says it is repeated again at 11 PM ET.

That is what is listed. Don't know if it will come on. KCLH is listed as playing the 80s show at 9 PM ET. They have switched to Christmas music. Check about 11 PM ET anyway. For the record, the skipped the 2nd extra when I turned it on to KQSN.

CKWW 580 Windsor/Detroit is not playing Christmas music... and they are playing the 11/30/74 countdown at their usual time.

WRQN 93.5 Bowling Green/Toledo is playing Christmas music but did play the 11/30/74 show this morning... they may repeat the show at midnight Eastern time.

Alabama radio station defends Christmas music in September: Stores have decorations out, so why not?

September 25 might seem way too early to play Christmas music, but the program director of one Birmingham radio station defends their decision to do just that.

100.1 FM and 1320 AM are playing non-stop, commercial free music with 84 days to go until Christmas.

"We understand it's early for Christmas music, but if the stores have decorations out we figured some folks might be ready," program director John Olsen wrote in an email to AL.com.

"If you like Christmas music without commercials 100.1 is a great choice, but if you think it's too early, you can listen to Rick and Bubba and country music on 104.7 or classic rock on 106.9. Then when you're ready for Christmas music without commercials listen to 100.1."

Of the 1,562 people who had taken a poll on the subject as of this morning, 67 percent said it was too soon while 33 percent said they are ready for Christmas music.

"I like Christmas music as much as the next guy, but give me a break. September? They might as well play it year-round," commenter CrimsonBuc wrote.

"Ah for the old days where Christmas decor and retail push started on Black Friday. First it was Thanksgiving that was run over by the Christmas express, now Halloween is threatened, soon it will be Labor Day and the beautiful season of fall will be forgotten. It will be pre-Chirstmas, Christmas and after Christmas as our only shopping seasons," bennbham wrote.
