As if that weren't enough, I'm pretty sure 5/28/88 was featured last year, making it the THIRD time in five weeks they repeated last year's. It's too bad they don't care. This is correct, which means we're probably in for yet another repeat of all the other favorite 1988 charts -- 8/6, 10/15, and 12/24. I don't understand why they go out of their way to avoid new 1988 charts. Sure, the last one was new but look where that got us. The whole chunk of never-aired charts from 6/11/88 through 7/2/88 gets avoided for the 13th year in a row. In other news, we're overdue for a 1989 chart and every single June 1989 chart has been played twice. So, I'm guessing they'll just wait until July and repeat the one they played last year.

Since they ignored 1984 for a good 3 1/2 months, it sadly looks like a possibility. I myself was hoping for 1980 next week since it's almost approaching the three-month mark, but I guess they're waiting a couple weeks to repeat last year's as well.

During the past year-plus, when I'm viewing an episode of the VJ Big 40 Countdown On Demand, I have always used a function where I would go straight to the desired segment on the countdown show (whether it is a talk-break or a single). I only discovered last week, with the SiriusXM App's recent upgrades, that that function has disappeared from the app entirely. It's going to be even more frustrating to deal with on a future chart-repeat show. It doesn't help that on those such shows, I can only listen to the talk-breaks.

During "I'm Still Searching", you can hear the little Windows XP error sound a couple of times.

Next week it'll be all about 1985!

Good, at least this won't duplicate or piggyback on Premiere. I don't know if June 1, 1985 has been done before by SXM, but that week's AT40 was guest hosted so Premiere obviously hasn't.

Like for last year, they replaced the bumpers with Memorial Day-themed ones. Makes me wonder if they were too lazy to make new ones for any other year and that's why we got 5/28/88 again.

Next week's countdown will be new. It's very likely to be 6/1/85, but for what it's worth 6/8 has never been featured either.

Whatever it was, it was a poor copy. it could have been a YouTube rip or something. Probably left over from the days where obscure lower-charting songs like that one were harder to track down.

Next week it'll be all about 1983!
As much as I'm still peeved at them still not playing 1980 yet, I'm glad they aren't doing it next week because it would have been a repeat of last year's 6/7/80.

No matter if they go with 6/4 or 6/11, the 1983 show will break the pattern of alternating between new charts and 2023 repeats. As for 1980, Premiere has been ignoring it too, which makes me suspect that both will end up playing it the same week in the near future.

Is anybody else having issues with the Sirius XM app? It does not save your progress. On any show. You can be listening and leave for a few seconds, and if you reopen the app, it goes all the way back to the beginning. It’s so annoying. 😡 And even paying customers do not get unlimited skips to get back to where you left off.

I usually listen to my favorite show on-demand in the car using Bluetooth on a long weekly trip. The last time, it was an episode that I actually participated in. The same crazy thing was happening. When I stopped off for something to eat then went into the app, the only way I could turn it back on was to start it over. At that point I was more than two-and-a-half hours into a four-hour show! And God forbid I should be in an area with spotty Internet. So for now I'll just wait until I get home, hit the play button, and let it run.

Next week it'll be all about 1989!
At least this means we aren't getting A. a Premiere duplicate and B. 6/14/86 for the 90th time.
