At least the "On Demand" feature is better this week--1980 is already available.

So far it looks like they're going in the same order of years they did in the beginning, though it's still way too soon to tell if they'll keep this up.

They're going with 4/5. Ugh.

1986 at all was an "ugh" choice for this week, really.
But the outlook looks pretty good for next week, as any of the next three in order following 86 - 82, 84, or 87 - would have new chart options available. Or, they could even keep the original order going for the next three weeks and end up going 3 for 3 with that.

Next week it'll be all about 1982! More than likely 4/10, which I think is a big strange considering it'll be on the first Friday of April, but then again they did do an April show tonight anyway.

It would have to be 4/10, as doing 4/3 would require them going backward on the calendar, which they have never ever done.

For the first two months of this year, the VJs and Premiere were doing an amazing job of featuring different years in different weeks. But somehow, we're now back to clustering all of the years together.
In recent weeks, we've had 1988 and 1986 from both shows in the same weekend. Next week, we'll get 1980 and 1982, which were both featured by the other show very recently.
And I foresee this continuing. The next year due for the VJs is 1984 and many people are predicting that to be the next year for Premiere as well. Time will tell.

It is amazing that 13 out of 13 years are in the same order as late 2022. 1984 would make the 14th consecutive year if that's what they go for after 1982. They could go with 1987 to shake it up since 1982 and 1984 are so close in years.

I'd kind of rather they didn't, as while they COULD do 4/11/87 after 82 if they wanted to...I don't know how likely that would be, while 4/18 would be a Fourth Time Play. It would also make 4/21/84 that much more likely, and that's the one April 84 week that's been done so far (in 2020). (Though I guess it wouldn't be out of the question, as we did get 7/12/80 and then 7/13/85 just last year.)
Keeping the order the same for at least the next two weeks after 82 would be the better way to go.

If I'm remembering that post from a couple years ago correctly, 4/10 is the only April 1982 date they hadn't done yet so they stuck that pretty well.

Next week it'll be all about 1984!

Goody!
Next week would be the time to do a slight switch in the order if they wanted to, as while 1987 would be next in order, swapping it with 1981 (next after that) and doing 4/18 would work just as fine. 1987 has to land on 4/25 either way, and theoretically could be slotted in for either of the next two weeks following 84.
After those two? Keep sticking with the order - 1989, 1983. (After that would be the next time to switch it up again.)

When I attempted to engage the "On Demand" for what was stated a new show for 1982, it played last week's 1986 episode. Hope they fix it soon!

While I'm glad we're not getting another overlap between Premiere and the VJs next weekend, I'm a bit thrown that it's only because Premiere has been making some poor choices so far this month. As of next weekend, between the two shows we will have heard 1982 three times in five weeks.
