Stevie B still gets a little airplay in Providence and Hartford. Did this song make the Rick Dees weekly Top 40? No; Stevie B didn't make the Radio & Records CHR chart, and thus Rick's or Casey's countdowns of the time, until 1990. I apologize for the follow up question, but I'm more of a Billboard guy and I'm curious. Did "Love Me For Life" (Billboard #29) crack to R&R Top 40? It was the 4th single from the same album that we're talking about above, and may have been released in very early 1990, several months before the 1990 album Love & Emotion. I have to assume all three Top 15 Billboard hits from that album (Love & Emotion, Because I Love You, and I'll Be By Your Side) made Rick Dees and Casey's Top 40, as by then Stevie B was all over the airwaves, but those early Top 40 singles must have been sales driven. As a kid growing up between Hartford and Providence, I didn't know his songs were not airplay driven nationally.

My local CHR played Love Me For Life in heavy rotation during its chart run, which had me hoping it would perform much better than it did. However, they also occasionally played a butchered version of the song for no apparent reason. Drove me nuts!

Just updated on the SXM Big 80's schedule - this week will be all about 1981! Been awhile again for me. I just played "Alien" by ARS on youtube and one of the comments from a few months ago was that this song was among the top 100 songs of 1981 countdown on SiriusXM. That is amazing considering on Billboard this only reached #29 and did not have a long chart run either. I am assuming it was this week that it was played but the date of the countdown is immaterial.

Weird of them to do 1987 again so soon.

Assuming 1987 is played next week, it would be only five weeks since the last show from that year; 1981, 82, 83, 86, and 88 were last played before two 1987's. At least it's a week/chart we don't get from Casey, as the May 2, 1987 AT40 was guest hosted.

I wonder though if they have touched the May 2, 1987 chart. If not then it would be another new show, but even if they did then it would have been a long time ago.

I found the thread on Pulse where they post all the shows and it was last done way back in 2012, so definitely not a recent repeat unlike the last couple times 1987 was done this year. Speaking of which, I have a feeling that after this, we won't be getting 1987 again for a while.

There goes yet another opportunity to play an August 1987 chart. The next 1987 show after this would land in mid-July. Hopefully the 11th, which would be new.
It also leaves the following week a big mystery, since 1986 and 1988 are the years with the longest gap, but they don't often play consecutive years. I'll cast a vote for 1982 in two weeks.

Next week it'll be all about 1986! It looks like it's a new one, which makes up for the repeat they aired last time they did 1986. Also another rare occurrence of using consecutive years.

The positive trend continues. Next week will be the sixth in a row that's either new or last played in 2012. For the pattern to continue, 1981 or 1983 would be new for the following week, while 1982 would be a repeat from 2013. I'd take any of those, though that same 1983 chart is coming soon for Premiere's AT40. 1988 is also due, but I strongly hope they wait two more weeks for that. Three would be even better.

Weren't we on page 106 yesterday?
Anyway, am I the only one who heard some talking or singing in the background while Mark intro'd "Get That Love"?
OK now we're on page 106 again. Post deleter is at it again I see.
