Already gonna throw in my prediction for the #1 song of 2023. My original guess would have been "Flowers" by Miley Cyrus, but it'll likely end up at #2 or #3. But, I'm gonna go with "Calm Down" by Rema & Selena Gomez. It was #8 this past weekend, and debuted on 11/26/2022.

Interesting that we know this already; my guess is "Die For You" won't be caught in the rankings. It's a bit like a team running away with the division title, leaving everyone else in the dust.

Tidbits from the year end countdown. Ryan said that Taylor Swift became the female artist with the most #1 hits in the 21st century in August with her 12th. Said that before "Anti-Hero". However, the song that hit #1 in August was "Cruel Summer". Anyway, I have to guess that the artist in the tie that was broken was Rihanna. I do know that only Mariah at 13 and Madonna at 15 are well within reach for her claiming the most all time by a female artist. Seacrest also said that Taylor had hit the top 40 in every year since her debut in 2007. The 17 and soon to be 18 year streak(next week) should be the third longest in AT40 history. Elton and Madonna are the only artists to reach 20 years(+). "Sure Thing" by Miguel hit #1 13 years after its release which is a record. Next hit at #6 was "I'm Good (Blue)" covering the Eiffel 65 hit which I just heard in the 2000 show. Not sure which version I prefer, both great songs. The 19 notch move by SZA's "Kill Bill" is the biggest of the 20s. "Flowers" is the quickest rising #1 hit of the 20s doing so in its 5th week. "Calm Down" was in the top 10 for a record 40 weeks. "Die For You" was recorded in 2016. It certainly has a time stamp on it so to speak. Has that spacy feel of "Earned It" and "The Hills" which were hits for him in 2015. Earned is my fave song by The Weeknd.
