In the 1984 show, there was an LDD from “Terry” to “Reese”. It was actually kind of sweet. Reese saw beyond Terry’s scars but when Casey ended the letter with “His favourite singer was Barry Manilow” I don’t know why but I burst out laughing. Hope things worked out for Terry but that’s a good reason to run for the hills.

In the 1983 show Casey said that Prince was 22, in 83 he would’ve been 24 (turning 25 that year, born in 1958 same as Madonna and Michael Jackson).
I wasn’t sure if it was just me or if the LDD from “Debbie” was incomplete. It seemed shorter than the usual LDD.
On another note, I enjoyed the amusing story about Daryl Hall and John Oates being stranded outside a restaurant. Imagine being the driver that picked up Hall and Oates. Hope the driver at least got free concert tickets or something.

In the 1987 show Casey mentions “Cassingles” (singles on Cassettes, remember those?). Boy that brings back memories. I think the first one I ever bought was “Vogue” by Madonna and my parents were not happy lol (Madonna was half naked of course).

I’ve always hated “Up Where We Belong” by Joe Cocker and Jennifer Warnes. Just curious as to why. For me, Jennifer has always had a great voice, quite 'sexy' actually, on everything I've heard her sing. And Joe Cocker is, well, Joe Cocker! (I'm actually surprised the Joe's last name didn't get censored here) Lol I was expecting “Cocker” to be censored as well. I’ve never been able to pinpoint what bugs me about “Up Where We Belong”, maybe it’s Joe Cocker’s voice? (I know, I know he’s a legend) or it’s just that the song is so cheesy but this song is up there with “Endless Love” on terms of annoyance.

^^ As a HUGE Queen fan, I agree “Body Language” was one of their worst songs.

In the 1988 show Casey mentions that Belinda Carlisle had her first (and only) #1 with “Heaven Is A Place On Earth” and it looked like her follow up “I Get Weak” was going to go to #1 as well. Well it didn’t, it almost got to #1 but had to settle for peaking at #2.

Tiny pet peeve. In the 1984 show, there was a dedication from a grandson to his grandfather, very sweet. Except it was “Every Breath You Take” by The Police. Why you ask? Well, sadly the Grandfather had trouble breathing and had to be taken to the hospital and thought for some bizarre reason “Every Breath You Take” was appropriate. Well, it has nothing to do with “breathing” it’s a breakup song or at the very least mildly stalkerish (“Oh can’t you see/You belong to me”). It drives me nuts when people don’t listen to the lyrics. Hello, it’s right there in the Chorus “Every breath you take/Every move you make/I’ll be watching you”. Glad the Grandfather was doing better but couldn’t you have picked a better song?

In this week’s 1984 show a Grandson dedicated “Every Breath You Take” by The Police? Why you ask? Because the Grandfather had trouble breathing 🙄. Another case of not paying attention to the lyrics.

I thought the story about the cheap woman, Hetty Green was interesting (right before “How To Be A Millionaire” by ABC) Although it didn’t seem like Casey was very sympathetic lol. Although the story about her son’s amputated leg seems to be exaggerated.

The word 'or' seems to have disqualified a hit from the list of songs with a time in their title. "25 or 6 to 4" by Chicago is referring to two times not just one which appeared to be the basis of the question. One of the more bizarre trivial notes is part of the chart for this week's show. "Do You Really Want to Hurt Me" and "Hungry Like the Wolf" are in their third of 10 consecutive weeks being back to back. Even "Physical" and "Waiting For a Girl Like You" did not accomplish that feat. And no other pair of hits accomplished that feat in the first run of AT40. “25 or 6 To 4” by Chicago was the one I immediately thought of with a specific time in the title. “3AM” by Matchbox 20 is another one I thought of.
