Does AT40 not like the song "Faith"? It seems they always edit it. It's not like it's a 5 minute song, why would you edit it? Oh well.

That sucks but not that surprising. I'm sure we'll see more stations dropping the show. My god if I were a radio programmer I'd drop the show. I wonder if that goes for the 80s show too. KMBQ was pretty reliable, it's getting harder to find the 90's show. I know of two, KQSR and WKVI. Otherwise there's always rick.com. I'm getting fed up with this show and all the repeats but no one is making me listen. it's just disappointing.

January 24/1987
40.I Wanna Go Back-Eddie Money, great song. One of my favs along with Endless Nights and Take Me Home Tonight. I think as we get older we can all relate to that song. I know I can. 39.(You Gotta) Fight For Your Right To Party by The Beastie Boys. What can you say? Just a great song. Best line has to be "Your mom threw away your best porno mag" 38.Love Is Forever by Billy Ocean. Not a fan of this song. 37.I'll Be Alright Without You by Journey. One of my favs. 36.Somewhere Out There by Linda Ronstadt and James Ingram. Just on a personal note this songs brings out a lot of emotions. It was played at a funeral for an ex that died in a car accident. So it holds a special place in my heart. 35.War by Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band. Great song. 34.Jacob's Ladder by Huey Lewis and The News. Not as catchy as their other hits but still a great song. Just a little trivia..Bruce Hornsby co-wrote that song. 33.Jimmy Lee by Aretha Franklin. Skip 32.Big Time by Peter Gabriel. Great song. The chorus just sticks in your head..Big Time 31.Stand By Me by Ben E King Classic 30.Stay The Night by Benjamin Orr Next 29.Talk To Me by Chico Debarge. No thanks 28.Falling In Love (Uh Oh) by Gloria Estefan and Miami Sound Machine. Another catchy chorus with the "Uh oh" "Uh oh". I liked Casey singing the Uh Oh at the end of the song in this show. That was cute. 27.The Way It Is by Bruce Hornsby and The Range. Good message in the song. One of his best. 26.Nobody's Fool by Cinderella. I didn't think there was a worse band than Poison but here you go. 25.You Got It All by The Jets. Skip 24.Stop To Love by Luther Vandross. Catchy song 23.All I Wanted by Kansas. No thanks 22.Everybody Have Fun Tonight by Wang Chung. I have to admit this is a guilty pleasure. Eveybody 21.Wang Chung tonight! Just don't watch the video if your prone to seizures. 20.This Is The Time by Billy Joel. Not a fan of this song. I love his music but not a fan of this one. LDD Word Up by Cameo. Another guilty pleasure. It's one of those songs you shouldn't admit you like 19.Love You Down by Ready For The World. Pass. Nothing more to say on this one. 18.Ballerina Girl by Lionel Richie. Apparently about his adopted daughter Nicole. Sweet song but i don't care for it. 17.Coming Around Again by Carly Simon. Great song from a legendary artist 16.Will You Still Love Me. I have to say I'm a sucker for this song. What can I say, I'm a hopeless romantic. Or maybe just hopeless I don't know. 15.We're Ready by Boston. Don't Care for Amanda or this song. Just no. 14.Livin' On A Prayer by Bon Jovi. Great follow up to You Give Love A Bad Name. Ex Flashdance (What A Feeling) by Irene Cara. Love Flashdance but this song is so overplayed. 13.Keep Your Hands To Yourself by Georgia Satelittes. Great song too but this was there only song. 12.Notorious by Duran Duran. Sort of the beginning of the end for DD although they had a couple hits in the early 90's, they were never the same after being so popular in then early and mid 1980s. Great song though. 11.Touch Me, I Wanna Feel Your Body by Samantha Fox. Another guilty pleasure. 10.Walk Like A Egyptian by The Bangles. Great song, despite being a huge hit the band say they hated recording that song 9.Victory by Kool and The Gang. No 8.Is This Love by Survivor. I love this song and Jimi Jameson has a great voice. Shame this was their last hit. Jimi Jameson has a little David Coverdale in this voice I think, very powerful 7.Change Of Heart by Cyndi Lauper. Great song, she really changed her image after "She's So Unusual". The Bangles sing backup on this one, LDD Reunited by Peaches and Herb. LOL. Pervert alert on this LDD. Guy started dating girl when she was 15 and he was in his 20's..oh who am to judge, I've dated my share of older guys. Just not at 15. 6.Somebody by Glass Tigers. Yeah fellow Canadians. Great follow up to Don't Forget Me..too bad they disappeared after that, at least in the States. 5.Land Of Confusion by Genesis. Great song and great video. Although it scared the crap out of me when I was younger. 4.Control by Janet Jackson. Not a fan of this song. I prefer her other hits from the Control album. 3.Open Your Heart by Madonna. Originally offered to Cyndi Lauper (apparently). Big hit for Madonna and memorable video with the Peep show amd the liitle boy(?) what was that about? Shake You Down by Gregory Abbot. Great ballad. Pretty much disappeared after that. 2.C'est La Vie by Robbie Nevil. Good song. It almost got to the number one spot in the US...but was blocked by At This Moment. Which brings us to... 1.At This Moment by Billy Vera and the Beaters. I remember this song from Family Ties as I'm sure eveybody does. Never cared for this song. Another one hit wonder.

Did Casey know something we didn't at the time? Did he predict the future? Patty Scialfa wouldn't just be in the E Steet Band she would eventually be Mrs Bruce Springsteen.
Casey laughs immediately after "Falling In Love (Uh Oh)" and it's just so cute. Followed by him saying "Now you know why I don't sing" lol.

When I was 5 years old, in 1985, I was obsessed with "You Belong To The City". For some reason I would listen to the Miami Vice Soundtrack and that song over and over again until the tape eventually broke on my Walkman. That's my earliest memory of Glenn Frey. Of course I love The Eagles and all the great songs he wrote:Hotel California,Desperado (covered by Linda Ronstandt),Witchy Woman,Heartache Tonight,One Of These Nights,Life In The Fast Lane...I could go on and on. His solo work was great too,You Belong To The City,The Heat Is On,Sexy Girl,True Love. RIP Glenn and thank you for the music.

Blackstar set to debut at #1 on the Billboard 200 album chart. Finally knocking Adele's "25" out of the top spot (for now anyway). His first #1 album. Poor guy had to die to get a #1 album. Blackstar is a great album, I highly recommend it. Even if you're just a casual fan, I think you'll like it.
