Yes, I believe Tom's Diner made the Top 100 of 1991.

It wasn't as a disadvantage of when it debuted, but I seem to recall "Jam" by Michael Jackson made the top 10 in 1992 and was not on the Top 100.

Hi, I'm trying to get my archives strait from 1992. Here is where it is a little fuzzy from 1992 in terms of # 1 songs: Under the Bridge- 6/6/92 and 6/13/92 I'll be There 6/20/92-7/25/92 Don't know about 8/1/92 and 8/8/92??? This Used to be My Playground 8/15/92 and 8/22/92 End of the Road 8/29/92 to 10/3/92. Can anyone confirm this and lert me know what I am missing? Thanks so much!! And to finsish the year: Sometimes Love Just Aint Enough (3 weeks) I'd Die Without You (3 weeks I believe) How Do You Talk to an Angel (2 weeks) I Will Always Love You (2 weeks; year end countdown took place following it)

Dec 23 and 30th were year end shows in 1995. For 1996 I believe the year end show did start the week of the 28th because I remember XL 106.7 in Orlando ran the entire top 100 New Years Day (having already aired pt 1 the Sunday before), I recorded the first half but then went to meet some people in West Palm Beach that evening and knew I could get part 2 on Sunday.
As far as radio stations accommodating it, why wouldn't they? It's still the same 4 hour show produced in two parts.

Because the masters were apparently destroyed and I doubt WW1 at this time wants to give free advertisement for the competitions host. Remember, he didn't leave WW1 on good terms as their were lawsuits filed, and injunctions attempted to keep AT40 from relaunching in 1998.

There's another reason, and while I hate it's the case I have grown to at least understand it. The show doesn't exist any longer, and because it was named after the host (something I always thought was a stupid idea for the shows longevity after Casey Kasem was done hosting it) it could wind up confusing people since many never paid attention to the fact that there was a show other than American Top 40 that he has hosted. Not to mention, Premiere has gone out of their way to give the impression Casey Kasem ALWAYS hosted American Top 40 and never relinquished it's hosting duties until Ryan Seacrest took over. So, unless Premiere can somehow insert the name American Top 40 into the shows over the top of the Casey's Top 40 references Casey made during the shows to where it sounded natural, or are able to eliminate them all from each show which I find highly unlikely they could really do, I don't see the show returning. And even if they DID decide to go through the trouble, how many stations would really pick the show up to run? I just don't see the interest being there which makes doing either of the ideas I suggested almost a waste of time. Their best bet if they wanted to release a 90's countdown would be acquire the rights to Dees's 90's shows which weren't bad. That would probably give them fewer headaches than any other option.

because Shannon is using them to essentially re-create the archive that didnt exist, until now. I guess my question was is he archiving them because Premiere or XM have floated info out there saying they may want to re-run those shows too? Is this just archiving for that future purpose perhaps one day? Or just so it is done?

Why are you accounting for them?
