I am sure it died like most every other radio show that's not around did. It aired in Jacksonville on Sunday Nights at 10 for a few years, then I found it Saturday morning at 6 on WFKS in Daytona, but that didn't last long as it was soon replaced by Rick Dees. And it also aired on WAOA in Melbourne Saturday morning at 7 and it aired there for a the entire time I lived in Central Florida (high school portion) including the Elvis Duran version.
Later in 1995 I was in Orlando going to Sea World on a Saturday morning and was listening to XL 106.7 and noticed on Saturday morning, I think at 7 it was running there too. It didn't air on that station long at all.

Yeah, thats what's odd about this too. I don't know when they would normally record the year end shows but it could have been done anytime probably in the last 3-4 weeks. I am sure they could have gotten hold of BB's year end country chart and gone with it. It isnt like the show was live and he was tied up when it would normally run.
Really Busch League, IMO.

Bob was known to do the countdown the first week of January sometimes so that really isn't unusual. He did the Top 50 of 2003 the first week in January 04 as a matter of face, whereas everyone else had already wrapped their year end shows up.
As far as the guest host, all I can say is wow! There really seems to be no interest on that show being anything respectable anymore. Not hosting your programs year end show is the equivalent of having Kenny Albert fill in for Joe Buck for pbp in the Superbowl this year.

For those who didn't hear it and are interested in doing so, both halves are being replayed today at 4 eastern and some unknown time tomorrow (I would assume 8am eastern though) on WAPE. Here's the link.... www.wape951.com

I called years ago (back when Casey was still doing the show) and was told that they didn't want to "confuse" their listeners. I think we'd once had a thread going on the previous incarnation of this message board on exactly this topic. Suffice it to say...listeners getting confused between the national top 100 (which would air ONCE) and the NYC top 100 (which they air a bajillion times from Christmas through New Year's) is a HIGHLY unlike proposition. Scott There's also the fact that the LOCAL hosts were doing the LOCAL one, and a NATIONAL guy who hosted the NATIONAL countdown doing the other which would be a strong clue as to what you were listening to. And then there is the overriding fact that no other city in America had confused listeners when the national/local YE shows aired. No offense, if NYC listeners get confused over that, there is something seriously wrong. And no, I don't think they would be confused in the slightest.

It would be so nice to have mom and pop stations locally owned or regionally owned back again. This way they can use common sense as to what should be ok on their stations or not, then shows such as this wouldn't have to worry about offending anyone.

Of course it was,I was never implying they were produced by the same people as I know the shows have nothing to do with each other. I just never knew someone would do that, and it is also wild that it was read within a week of each other.

For those who listened to either AT10 or AT20 last week know the LDD was about a guy who gave in to peer pressure from friends, and broke up with his girlfriend. However, he still wanted to be with her and requested "The Best I Ever Had" as the song.
Well, I am listening to the Country Top 40....and the EXACT SAME DEDICATION WAS READ AGAIN with a country version of the song playing as the dedication.

I haven't heard AT10/AT20 in months, but the same thing was said on AT10, that the song had been number 1 for it's 5th week. Not sure if it had been number 1 only 5 weeks on AT10 though.

If the show(s) had a website the station listings probably would be there. But Premiere to my knowledge doesn't have a list on their site of where you can hear any of their shows.

But I remember back in the early 90's at least he did not even acknowledge the weeks the year end countdown took place. So for instance "I Will Always Love You" spent it's "third" week at #1 the first regular survey of 1993, even though it spent the first two weeks the first two weeks of December and it was their obviously for the two weeks there was a year end show.
