In my experience with it, what happens is the show is out of order. I heard a couple this week that played 2 and 1, then started the show from the beginning, and then it went to the next show after #3. I also heard a few segments missed on a show, and then they aired after the show had ended.

Thanks for the info, is it the same shows it was before running over and over again?

Kind of difficult to be an advertisement when you never mention it. I believe the format lab is something at least in part, stations could use as their extra HD channels other than the primary one. I doubt this one was popular.

This won't be popular with everyone else, but it was the same shows over and over. It was doomed to fail from the get go. Maybe if they brought it back and aired all the FB shows 3 and 4 hour versions, mixed in all the AT40: The 70's and 80's broadcasts and kept the channel current with all the ones that were airing it could work. But otherwise it really was a waste of time.

I would imagine they will air either part 1 and 2 of the shows on both OTA versions, or the final 3 or 4 hours, depending on the version.
As far as XM, I don't remember what they did last year but I would assume whatever they did, they will do again.

Actually, I'm pretty sure there was a regular show produced for the weekend that GOR was aired. You are correct. There was a regular show aired that weekend. So was that show one of those "replace your morning radio show with this since you probably don't have them on anyway" shows? I seemed to get that idea from the Dees "Platinum Plus" special since it was to air on Memorial Day.

Well, at least from #40 - #3! KQLL in Tulsa cut off the program with two songs left to go! WMMX have done that before, but they played the top 2 this morning... I used to love when they did AT40 extras, but now I hate it because they always play the same three songs - "Maniac", "Come On Eileen", and "Stand Back" (love that one though!) I love it too. www.youtube.com/watch?v=JjFFoy3tg4s

No...this isn't the "Boy in a Box" LDD show. The two LDDs are "Like a Rock" by Bob Seger and "I'm So Excited" by the Pointer Sisters. The show WAS, however, featured as a "Flashback" show on November 17, 2001. It's also one of the FB shows that was being played over and over on the all AT40 FB internet channel.

So they keep old shows on file? Can they not download it from Premiere's website manually if need be?

Why would stations start it an hour earlier if the show is only 3 hours?

Sometimes the level of childishness exhibited by some (including me) amazes me. Someone is actually sending nasty emails to Shannon because a song is in STEREO? I have never heard the 70's broadcast radio show, but I would assume Ed McMann intro's it the same way he does or did the 80's show. I would also guess there are 3 extras in the show, same way there are 4 on the 80's show. That wouldn't be a clue that this is the 70's show updated to 2007 radio standards?

Wasnt the idea behind the 70's show that it could be 3 or 4 hours long depending on the show?
It could also be that this, like the old AT40 FB shows will send a 4 hour show as opposed to the regular 3. I remember the second half of the 1986 show they ran was 4 hours in length.

"AT40: The 70's" and "AT40: The 80's" are produced specifically and ONLY for over the air radio stations.
The shows that air on XM are for XM.
While they may at times air the same thing weekly, they are not always going to do so. One will not be in sync with the other. For some reason, this seems to be a cause for confusion lately, either that or I am misreading some of the posts.

The thing about "Waterfalls" appearing on the YE 96 chart is I believe when I looked over all the charts from that year, the song was NEVER ON THE COUNTDOWN THAT YEAR!
