CKWW will most likely be going with a 3 hour version of the 1979 show (I don't think they have ever played a B option show).I'm hoping That here in the UK ,smooth 70s will play both shows as usual

I'm inclined to think that Magic 98 will go with 6/16/79 but it will be the three-hour version-Hopefully,Mike Eiland at WODC won't let us down & feature the full four-hour version.

CKUL-FM went with 1971 last time 1979 and 1971 were offered, so there may be a chance the full four-hour version could be heard this weekend.

KL FM hates 1979. Via email, I found out it will be playing the 'B' show, 1971. That's twice this year KL FM has taken the 'B' show when a 1979 show was offered as the 'A' show.

WODC will play the complete 1979 countdown. KKLZ will air 1971. Not sure about KTHI; they used to reliably air four hour countdowns, but two months ago they had to choose between these same two years and they went with 1971. WSNV and WWZW probably will opt for three hour 1979.

This is just a guess, but I'm probably sure WELK will play all 4 hours of the 1979 show this weekend.

I predict that WJER will play 1979 and start with Hour #2.

Not yet confirmed, but I'm betting on the following:
KOKZ - 1979 4hrs KQQL - 1979 3hrs KLOU - 1979 3hrs
Any word on what WORC will do? Guessing 1979, but it remains to be seen as to whether it's 3 or 4 hours...

Will it KILL the PDs to go with the 4-hour '70s shows when they come up in the rotation. Like Pete B. told me, 'It's like goin' to the zoo, and seein' only 75% of the animals! Maybe if more folks contacted their respective stations 'bout airin' the full 4-hour shows, these PDs might just listen to 'em!

Perhaps maybe we could also suggest to make the first hour mandatory (when a late 1978 or 1979 show comes up) for all 70s affiliates who carry the show and plead your case.

CKWW will start late, but we'll know for sure soon in a few minutes.
Shuckatoom theme is playing, and it's AT33 1979 (i.e. 3 hours).
