Graig, you're my kind of AT40 listener. Glad to know I'm not alone in wantin' all 4-hours of the '70s shows.

We could always wait for Bobby Magic Radio to feature '79, in their daily program spotlight.

Is there some sort of 'Canadian content' law that CKWW needs to follow each hour. Didn't recognize ANY of the songs, before they started the AT40 hours.

Btw, that State Farm commercial sounds like the 'Jewish mother' stereotype.

Does Smooth start the four-hour broadcasts an hour early, or do they run an hour longer and start at the regular time? TIA.

Smooth 70s starts 4 hour shows at the normal time and runs an hour longer. BTW, does anyone know if Radio Gold runs 4 hour AT40s? (They repeat the previous weekend's AT 40 70s on Tuesdays at noon edt) I listened to the very high quality Radio Gold WMA stream this afternoon when 1978 was rebroadcast. Superb!

Will it KILL the PDs to go with the 4-hour '70s shows when they come up in the rotation. Like Pete B. told me, 'It's like goin' to the zoo, and seein' only 75% of the animals! Maybe if more folks contacted their respective stations 'bout airin' the full 4-hour shows, these PDs might just listen to 'em! Yes, it'll KILL the PDs, especially when it comes right down to local advertising dollars, these people aren't programming directors, they're bean counters and only believe surveyors who are not actual listeners about what's listenable, I have pretty much explained what you said in my quote of your's here about 4-hour 70's shows when talking with Gary at KOLA 99.9 FM from Redlands, California, twice, but this guy won't budge!

I know... maybe we can persuade him again and ask to air AT40 from 6-10 am instead of 5-9 am. It's unlikely, but worth a try.

Yes -- Canadian stations have to play a certain percentage of native artists. Personally I find that interesting. When CKWS and CKRU were running AT40 I discovered a lot of great songs/artists. I'm now a big Keith Hampshire fan.

Not yet confirmed, but I'm being on the following: KOKZ - 1979 4hrs KQQL - 1979 3hrs KLOU - 1979 3hrs Any word on what WORC will do? Guessing 1979, but it remains to be seen as to whether it's 3 or 4 hours... I'm predicting 1971 for KQQL. WORC played a 3 hour 1979 on the April 20,21 1979 vs 1971. Well...reason I am thinking '79 for KQQL is that they seem to lean toward the late 70's option as of late.

Couldn't agree more...my guess is it comes down to either a case of laziness on the part of PDs, or a case of them not wanting to deal with the stress of potential screw-ups when their monkeys would have to enter a 4-hour show in the automation system.

Nobody guessed WLS-FM (Chicago). They usually take the later shows so most likely they'll air American Top 33.
