Maybe it's just me, but I don't see these shows getting many affiliates.

That was the first time I heard them too. I generally didn't listen to much radio each week outside of the national radio shows. I recorded them and listened throughout the week. And yes, sometimes a song wouldn't make the Top 40 but most did and by the time you heard it on Casey's Top 40 a couple of weeks later you were already familiar with it.

I thought the 80's shows were not airing on the 80's channel anymore.

Well, back when I listened to it the show came on Sunday morning at 7am, and Casey's Top 40 came on at 8. I thought the show was a great companion piece to the countdown. It let you know what songs for the most part were a week or two away from hitting the Top 40 on Casey's Top 40 (or Rick Dees Weekly Top 40 if it aired prior to that show in some markets) as it used Radio & Records chart information to air the songs that came on the show. Plus it let you know what songs were on top in England and I think they did one other thing I thought was cool but don't remember what it was.

After listening to his Hot AC show these previous 3 weeks, I think "The Rick Dees Weekly Dartboard of Hits Countdown" would be good.

Probably not real popular, and for the same reason Casey Kasem's AC Countdowns went from 25 to 20 to 10...the chart moves waaaayyyyy too slow.

I thought Ryan was pretty funny on this show. The comment about the arrests, shaving off the head, and that was just the staff was good. And I LOVED IT when he pretty much dissed "I Love You, Always, Forever."

I felt the same way listening to his Top 40 of the Decade.

Top 40 or is it part 1 of a 2 part show?

Does anyone else do as I do and listen to all of these shows every year on Christmas Day. It's what I have playing for atmosphere music.

For those unfamiliar with that terminology in radio terms, what exactly is the Gen X format?

I hope so. I accidentally deleted them several months ago but assumed I would just record them this year. I hope I have the chance.
I know last year, the station I recorded AT40 The 80's switched to all Christmas music and aired the Christmas specials in place of the 80's show. So it's possible the better questions to ask are will Premiere make the shows available at all, or did the stations keep the CDs/music files around for such a case as this.
