So glad to have found this site. I'm was a huge listener of At40 starting in fall 1982 until 1988 where my local radio station decided to drop the countdown.
I was so glad XM decided to bring Casey's countdown back which actually caused me to subscribe to their services but was so disappointed when they replaced it with VJ's countdown.
I have checked a few internet sites who do carry the show but I don't like the fact they are interrupted with commercials. Does anybody here recommend the best station to listen to 80s AT 40, especially one with downloadable content.

First of all, welcome!!!
I'm listening to the show right now on WSVX Shelbyville, IN, via their stream. They air it from 6-10pm EST Sundays. Also try CKRU from Peterborough, ON. It's on Sundays from 1-5pm there. Those are my recommendations for next week.

Welcome to the forums. Here you will find the best resource on the internet for info regarding current broadcasts of the AT40 shows. Check nenad radio. They list current stations playing the show with times based on your time zone. Then check in here for the latest info on which of these stations are still broadcasting the show. Many of us record or listen to the show via streaming internet. Have fun with your journey!

Try WQSR in Baltimore; they air the countdown on Sunday nights from 8 to midnight Eastern time and the only commercials they play are the national ones that come with the countdown.

This may sound like a dumb question. I apologize. But what is the easiest way on recording an AT40 show online? What equipment, downloads, do you need? Thank you.

Replay AV 8 was great for XM and Sirius but its more tricky with regular radio stations.

I used to use both of these for Modern AT40 (Ryan Seacrest) recordings.

WRIP sounds the best. Be sure to click on the higher-res link. Last week they fouled up the streaming really bad. I'm hoping that tomorrow works well. And yes, they play all the extras (optional and original).
