No clue why...but it starts this weekend. Now a top 20 show.

Probably not real popular, and for the same reason Casey Kasem's AC Countdowns went from 25 to 20 to 10...the chart moves waaaayyyyy too slow.

The fun thing will be to hear what it's CALLED. They had been calling it "Rick Dees' Weekly Top 30," so I guess you know what my guess is...

After listening to his Hot AC show these previous 3 weeks, I think "The Rick Dees Weekly Dartboard of Hits Countdown" would be good.

Probably not real popular, and for the same reason Casey Kasem's AC Countdowns went from 25 to 20 to 10...the chart moves waaaayyyyy too slow. How times change... on this weeks AT40 from 1976, Casey mentioned the oldest song in the countdown was around 13 weeks! Can you imagine how slow the 2010 chart would move without liberal recurrent rules. I don't need to imagine it. On this week's AT40, as hosted by Ryan Seacrest, the oldest song is the Black Eyed Peas' "Boom Boom Pow", which has been in there for 44 weeks. I'd have thought that everyone who hasn't downloaded or bought it is sick of it by now (I sure am). And on the adult contemporary charts things move even slower. Recently Sara Bareilles' "Love Song" was on the Hot AC list for 103 weeks--two whole years.

Does anyone know what stations carry Rick Dees Weekly Top 20? On nenads list WLVG was taken over by another station and does not carry the show. KQSR carries the HOT AC version. WRAL blocks the stream when the show airs. KPLA cuts off the last segment because it starts late. I called the station and they said they would look into it. I'm not crazy about Rick Dees but I listen for the music.
