Wow, a 1983 show?! Awesome. 😊 First one featured since I started catching the shows the first week in March.
Obviously, there's no trouble finding 1983 in the AT40 series from Premiere.

Hopefully more will come for the rest of the year and into future years, I do think a special show is possible for next week heading into Labor Day weekend.
In the meantime, 10/21/2006 is what WSM-AM is playing. At this rate, they'll get to 2007 by November of this year. No cue sheet, but I can tell they were a little behind as Country Aircheck usually issues these final Mediabase 24/7 charts about a week and a half prior to the CT40 show, whereas when KFYZ shows ACC, the chart week end date is basically right on cue as to when the show airs.

Not to mention this was also an ACC Rewind show back then, however we finally get the first hour of the missing show. Notice that this is in CD quality here which sounds a lot better than vinyl shows even if they were remastered.

To wit, #37 "Drivin' My Life Away" and #1 "Lookin' For Love" were both also in the Top 10 on AT40 that same date (#10 and #8) - there would have been three on both countdowns, but #32 "Why Not Me" was a dropper off AT40. (As an aside: I think that one actually crossed over to Country, if anything - it only reached #30 on ACC, but had already been to #1 on the AC chart.)

Great chart this week. Willie has 3 songs (2 duets); Hank Jr., George and Waylon have one each. The Top 10 includes songs by The Statlers, Oak Ridge Boys, Merle and two by Dolly (one is a duet). Good stuff.

And even 2006 shows are so good especially when Bob is hosting, especially when it comes to delivery. This week WSM-AM is going with 11/18/2006. I think within a few weeks he'll promote the year-end show, but whether if WSM-AM will air any year-end shows, we'll see. www.charismusicgroup.com/ACC%20Cue%20Sheets/CT40%202006-1118.pdf

Tonight, KFYZ is airing 9/25/1982. The jingles have changed since the last 1982 airing, as previously noted. We're just not sure which show first reflected the change.

Been a while since we've had a 1982 show as well, one thing for sure is that even with the superstar rule Billboard used at the time, just a few songs out of the entire year stayed at #1 for only two weeks. And I think a few also made it on AT40 as well.

Yep, the last 1982 show to air was 5/1, which still had the 1978 jingles (and original 1973 fiddle theme to close out each hour).

1983 makes a quick return to KFYZ as they are playing the 9/24 show.
