So cool to hear, I wonder what years are they going to cover and whether if it includes ACC, CT40, or both, as well as air special shows in the process during holiday weekends? And I also wonder if the shows prior to mid-1990 have been converted and remastered for airing as of yet if should they touch those?

And what better station for classic country countdowns than WSM, which originated the Grand Ole Opry (which started in 1925 as the "WSM Barn Dance")?

Well, today is the day...curious what they go with. I'm currently recording the top 50 of 2020 from CT40, which doesn't end until noon local time. Tune in at 10 AM CT on WSM AM 650. ETA: This will be an updated list of the shows that have aired during the series. Please alert me via DM of any errors. 2021-01-02: 2006-01-14 CT40 2021-01-09: 2006-01-28 CT40 2021-01-16: 2006-02-11 CT40 2021-01-23: 2006-02-18 CT40 2021-01-30: 2006-02-25 CT40 2021-02-06: 2006-03-04 CT40 2021-02-13: 2006-03-11 CT40 2021-02-20: 2006-03-25 CT40 2021-02-27: 2006-04-01 CT40 2021-03-06: 2006-04-08 CT40

Other than the first few weeks I haven't listened to any of the show with Fitz. How is it?

Other than the first few weeks I haven't listened to any of the show with Fitz. How is it? He's good. I really enjoy listening to him. The show has the same features when Bob was still hosting (listener request, CT40 Vault, milestone). Fitz talks slow at times, but he brings a lot of enthusiasm for the artists and music like Bob. The jingles haven't changed since 2018, though I wonder if some new ones are forthcoming in 2021. I missed many of the shows from this past year; couldn't find a good radio station that carried CT40. But late November I found one; been very reliable. I work just about every weekend so I rarely can catch it live, but I record them and listen later. I've never disliked country, didn’t listen to it much but have gotten into it a bit more the last few years, largely because of Bob Kingsley (when ACC Rewind was launched). I unfortunately couldn't catch the 2019 year-end since the show was taken off the website. I did find out what the #1 song of 2019 was, as the show always starts off with the previous week's #1, or the year's #1, in this case. I hope to get all the country year-end shows someday; I'm missing all from 2008-2016 and 2019, otherwise I've got them all since ACC's beginning in 1973. ETA: "I Hope" by Gabby Barrett is #37 on CT40's top 50, which also appeared in AT40's year-end countdown at #30. Same for "The Bones" by Maren Morris (#4 CT40, #39 AT40).

It is a CT40 presentation (so it's anything from 2006-2019), but unsure of which show it is, as nothing was announced.
#40 is "Not Going Down" (Jo Dee Messina)
ETA: I wonder if this was the first regular show of CT40 in 2006?

This week they're featuring January 28, 2006 (as Bob indicated) so it looks like they are going in order as much as they can from the looks of it. At the time they were using the Radio & Records chart (which was supplied by Mediabase 24/7 as reported to R&R).

I missed the show so far...did Bob announce the show date prior to the start like Larry Morgan does in the Premiere series? Last week, it just went right into the show like you were listening to it in its original airing. Been recording the current CT40 show with Fitz so that's where my listening ears have been this morning.

Last week, it just went right into the show like you were listening to it in its original airing. Been recording the current CT40 show with Fitz so that's where my listening ears have been this morning. During the show he mentioned the chart week of January 28 multiple times but I think the announcer mentioned this week in 2006 as far as I know before it started. I'll have to check again if this is the case next week... One thing I will say that I am happy about with this new feature is that they're keeping all the theme music intact compared to the previous ACC Rewind format where things would be cut out and/or some songs would be edited from Cumulus/WW1 even if they weren't edited to begin with. So I'm giving applause to WSM-AM (and rightfully so when it's locally owned). This link below also seems to match the chart they used on the show before VNU acquired Radio & Records: worldradiohistory.com/Archive-RandR/2000s/2006/RR-2006-01-20.pdf

I was able to record the last two hours after the current CT40 was done. I'm gonna run a test before next weekend to see if I can record the two shows simultaneously via different apps without any hiccups. There is a 2-hour overlap (10a-12p).
So great to hear Bob on the radio again. 🙂
