And just like the 1982 show, the jingle package is the same for 9/24/1983. I think once 1984 came is when it changed again.

The 1977 split logo jingles were still in mono on this show. Sometime in 1980 (after 3/22 but on or before 7/5) the same jingles were used, but in stereo.
Got stuck working again tonight but recorded the show, so I'm gonna go back to listen to it in the next few days.
ETA: Just realized today is the anniversary of ACC's beginning, 48 years ago. I have that debut show with Don Bowman.

1984 tonight, KFYZ is featuring 10/13/1984. It seems like throughout the 3-hour era, Bob Kingsley had several rotating liners without a teaser when going to a commercial break. I think it wasn't until the show expanded to 4 hours when he started doing teasers for a certain song/artist throughout the show. charismusicgroup.com/ACC%20Cue%20Sheets/ACC%201984-1013.pdf

Rodney - I can fill in a blank for you. On 5/5/2021, KFYZ aired 4/30/1988. Yeah, they went backwards in calendar date as 5/1/1982 aired the previous weekend. I didn't post this then, but I started catching the ACC airings on KFYZ in March. On 3/10, they aired 3/7/1987. I missed the first couple of songs, but caught the rest. I missed the following Wednesday, which would've been 3/17.

Been a while since I've focused on the CT40 show, September 25 and October 2's airings featured 11/25/2006 and 12/2/2006 respectively (former starting early and the latter starting late), but the past week and this week is in rerun mode. Seems like WSM only has a limited amount of shows in the Kingsley's Countdown Classics rotation, but they also went so far ahead in the chart week of 2006 to today by a few months. Not sure if and when we may get new chart weeks of CT40 from WSM-AM past 12/2/2006... at least KFYZ has a new ACC show generally from the 80s, sometimes the 70s and 90s each week.

Stuck working again. Thank goodness I already have this show. And, yes, quite a few common songs between ACC and AT40 around that time.
