I’m happy to be able to start catching these shows. Looking forward to the following Wednesday’s to see what the offerings are. Tonight’s show was enjoyable.

CT40 is back on WSM-AM, this week they're playing the chart from 8/19/2006, where it was the first week where Radio & Records used Billboard/Nielsen BDS to provide chart data. To avoid the costly fee, this show continued to use Mediabase 24/7 and still does to this day. www.charismusicgroup.com/ACC%20Cue%20Sheets/CT40%202006-0819.pdf

Just went through and edited my recording. This is a rare instance where you can hear Bob Kingsley's voice, both at the very beginning of the show, and at the show's closing. Rex Allen guest-hosted the "Songs Of The American West" special (Don Bowman was the regular host back then), which originally aired on the Bicentennial weekend of 7/3/1976. Really cool and fascinating to hear.

Tonight, KFYZ is airing 7/5/1980. It was a regular show, while AT40 had their Book Of Records special.

Great show. Lots of great memories of this time in country music. What a sweet Top 16 :-) Gilley had two songs in the Top 16. 1-George Jones - He Stopped Loving Her Today (+1) 2-Charley Pride - You Win Again (+3) 3-John Conlee - Friday Night Blues (+3) 4-Mel Tillis - Your Body Is An Outlaw (-1) 5-Mickey Gilley - True Love Ways (+3) 6-Willie Nelson - Midnight Rider (+1) 7-Merle Haggard & Clint Eastwood - Bar Room Buddies (+2) 8-The Oak Ridge Boys - Trying To Love Two Women (-7) 9-The Bellamy Brothers - Dancin' Cowboys (+3) 10-Crystal Gayle - The Blue Side (+3) 11-Conway Twitty & Loretta Lynn - It's True Love (+4) 12-Waylon Jennings - Clyde (+7) 13-Hank Williams Jr. - Kaw-Liga (+5) 14-Alabama - Tennessee River (+3) 15-Cristy Lane - One Day At A Time (-11) 16-Mickey Gilley - Stand By Me (+6)

KFYZ hasn't done a 4-hour show in quite some time, until now, this week is from 7/12/1986. You can tell once they went to 4 hours they added a lot of cool new features, like extras, the ACC archives at the end of each hour (at that time was the 70s), and the ACC Calendar. www.charismusicgroup.com/ACC%20Cue%20Sheets/ACC%201986-0712.pdf

ACC took a page out of AT40's playbook, when they expanded to four hours just seven-plus years prior, with the added extras and archives (also from the 70s).
I have the first 4-hour ACC show from 1/11/1986 (excluding year-ends), but haven't gotten around to listening to it yet. Love the ACC Calendar feature.

Thank you, mellongraig. And, yes, that'd be correct on the jingle changes (debuted 7/22/1978). Still unclear on the 1982 change date, as I don't have many shows from that year (although I own all the year-ends).
