Once the show expanded to four hours in 1986, the show really took off, allowing enough time to play last week's #1 song similar to how AT40 did it (AT40 sometimes played the #2 and #3 songs as well), along with the ACC Archives, ACC Calendar, extras, and then in February 1996, the ACC Mailbag (which was the country version of the Long Distance Dedication). All of that itself I think contributed to the huge success of ACC let alone the jingles they used over the years. |

Do they stick with the same year all the time? Not of fan of modern country at all. Was hoping they would dip into at least 90's. |

WSM has stuck with the Country Top 40 era, which began in 2006, and mostly going in chronological order with certain years. KFYZ has aired classic ACC shows on Wednesday nights, mostly from the 80s, but with occasional dips into the 70s and 90s. There isn't an exclusive 1990s airing at this time, though ACC Rewind (from 2015-end of 2019, after Bob's passing) focused on 1990-2005, though I'd say over 90% of those shows were from the 1990s. |

Good to know. 70’s-80’s is my country sweet spot, so I’m loving the KFYZ shows. Was just hoping WSM would back up a bit further. I get it though. A few years ago a local station was “playing one from deep in the vaults”. The song they played was from three years earlier. |
