Love the song at #1. Missed most of the show cuz I was at work. Very clean sound, remastered. Shannon's work with these shows is top notch.

On WSM-AM, this week's CT40 show is from 9/15/2007, and it's a very interesting week where we've got a debut at #4 which is very unusual (CT40 used Mediabase while ACC used Billboard which by then R&R was part of Billboard and the debut was at #1). I don't think we're going to see something like that happen again anytime soon (maybe a debut in the 20s perhaps but not like this). charismusicgroup.com/ACC%20Cue%20Sheets/CT40%202007-0915.pdf

This was featured before on ACC Rewind, but you only heard 3 out of the 4 hours. Now you get to hear it in full (first hour included) along with the theme music and jingles (though the CT40 website until it was changed to the Cumulus/Westwood One site had the rewind replay like it was from the original broadcast).

That's how I heard those shows from late 2017 through Christmas 2019. It was a nice on-demand feature, fairly reliable also. ETA: Both then-current CT40 shows and ACC Rewind were available on the website, updated weekly.

Hopefully they'll make the current CT40 shows again available for replay (though that would have to be up to the current parent company to decide). 9/29/2007 is this week's CT40 show on WSM-AM, where this year WSM-AM has done much better in terms of CT40 content where they weren't too far ahead unlike last year. charismusicgroup.com/ACC%20Cue%20Sheets/CT40%202007-0929.pdfThe end-of-hour theme music we now hear used to be the closing of ACC from about May 2004 until Kingsley's last show, so it's like bringing back some roots that carried over to CT40.

That particular week on AT40 would be the last time Shuckatoom was heard in the opening of Hours 2-4. On the ACC side it was the 1978 theme music (which would also be used for the closing theme) while end-of-hour was the 1973 theme that continued until 1982 when the opening/closing theme was updated slightly, and a new end-of-hour theme was used.
New number jingles came into use by this point, but I don't know if it's the first show they used them. It's possible they were used on previous 1979 shows but no way to check on it...
