FYI, shortly before the show started I heard an announcement saying “Every week you can hear this weeks American Country Countdown from 2006”. So I believe they’ll be going with 2006 all year. Would love to hear some of the 80's shows, but such is life. Glad they’re still playing some of his shows though.

Missed the first few songs today, but sounds like another 2006 show.
ETA: Must be 2/11, as I heard a Valentine's Day reference.

There goes hope for "American Country Countdown: The 70's", "American Country Countdown: The 80's", and "American Country Countdown: The 90's"!

Looks like they are airing every other week (Jan 14, Jan 28, Feb 11) in 2006. Looks like they play every two week shows and not on a weekly basis. The chart from Radio & Records is from the week before ( logical , this magazine always published its charts the week prior to the others magazines ). This coming wednesday, KFYZ will air ACC from Jan 21, 1989.

Confused, I thought ACC was based on the Billboard Country Chart?

CT40 used the Mediabase/R&R chart and still does.
ACC switched to Mediabase in 2009. In September 2017, they returned to Billboard using the Country Airplay chart.
BTW, this weekend marks Kix's 15th anniversary as current host of ACC.

Yeah, these are from when he started Country Top 40, rather than from ACC.

Ah, so the AT40 Fandom makers made one for ACC too. Makes sense though, really.

This week they're playing the 2/25/06 show and when I did tune in it looked like there was a little bit of buffering at the beginning on the stream that did appear to clear up quickly (might not have been the case for some other people).

Here comes another 2006 show, this time from 3/4/2006 this week (with the R&R issue of 2/24). Also this week at the beginning they played a montage of last week's Top 5 (including one that dropped out/moved to recurrent because of the Mediabase/R&R rule), but I'm not sure if the Top 5 montage last week was permanent yet at this time. Edit: Looks like they also used the Top 5 montage for last week's show as well. worldradiohistory.com/Archive-RandR/2000s/2006/RR-2006-02-24.pdf

Another week, another recap of the Top 5 from a week ago, I guess to also speed things along and allow more time for songs to be played unedited, extras, etc.
Bob just mentioned that he is counting down the hits for the week of March 11, 2006 this week (with the R&R issue of 3/3).
