Like you, financially I'm OK and can work from home (although to be honest I'd rather not). I also worry about groceries (went to Walmart this morning and there was plenty of milk, which was good; got toilet paper last week which should last for a little while; paper towels might be the biggest concern for me now), and finding places to eat (can order pizza, thankfully, and will probably have to do take-out and drive-thrus). I'm also making sure I can take care of some things just in case further places are shut down (went to renew my driver's license yesterday, for example; the DMV is essential but can also fall under the same restrictions that restaurants face just because of the crowding aspect).

I am fortunate as well. Been working from home for a lil over 2 weeks. I'm cool w/ that. saves me on gas. Got plenty of food an seems stores dont have any shortage of that.....except chicken for some reason? why buy up all the chicken? That's fine, not really something i 'cook' anyway, at least Popeyes is now offering free delivery!! Yeah a lil worried about Paper towels, TP & Flushable wipes as im starting to get really low on those. If i can maybe find some flushable wipes somewhere then i'll be ok for while as i can get some TP from other households for sure, paper towels......ill just use sparingly. Socially isolating in home, no problem there, i like being @home. No sports on TV? Not a bad thing either, i got Tons an Tons of recorded games i have not watched from College football to Canadian football, to Arena football. no shortage of watchable content. In fact got a lot of content on my DVR that i need to record to Blu-ray, so hopefully this will give me time to do that along w/ straightening up the house, or work any other indoor projects that i've 'meant to get to'.

I lost my job in late January, so for me this "everybody stay at home" is not as novel as it is for most. I'm collecting unemployment and have plenty of savings, so I'm okay financially, but I feel like my odds of landing a job plummeted with this crisis. I mean, how many businesses are hiring when they can't even safely keep their own people around?
I'm doing a halfway decent job of keeping myself busy, but like everyone else I'm frustrated by the cancellation of all aspects of my life and the uncertainly of how long this could drag on for. Not to mention worry of how the virus might directly affect people I know, and a concern about how long the business world might take to recover from this.
Stay healthy everyone.

I agree with Michael that it’s the uncertainty that worries me. How long will this drag on for? I worry about my parents who are vulnerable and I worry about my health. As of today, I’m in pretty good shape financially and not going too crazy isolating but that could change if this drags on for months or maybe even a year. I’m working from home and have plenty of movies/shows if I get too bored. Stay safe everyone.

And today I found out that the DMV service centers closed on March 18, the day after I went. So I was smart to go when I did (unless I get coronavirus, of course). Went back to Walmart today and got some paper towels. Also found out some restaurants in my area are still allowing dine-in service (as long as there are no more than ten diners at once).

All is well here. We actually did the AC service on Friday for the same reason. I still am reporting to work. Our building is closed to the public but staff are still reporting to provide services for the public virtually and to do some projects we never have had time to do. Not sure how long it will last, but selfishly it’s been nice to still have the normalcy of going to work M-F.

Here in California, Gov. Newsom's stay-at-home order kicked in yesterday. The stats today are scary. In this state alone, there are more than 1,200 confirmed cases of COVID-19, and 29 deaths. Fortunately, I work in tandem with the category of places that's listed #1 among those that people are still allowed in: pharmacies. I make deliveries for them, and this past week, just by doing what I do, I made two weeks' worth of money. Sure, I take the occasional reprimand from a regular home customer to wear a mask. Hard to do when I've got so little time to look for one, and probably couldn't find one if I tried. I've also been reminded to sanitize the tablet and stylus pen I use to get signatures. The cleaning supplies are scarce as well. I'm feeling fine; I have no symptoms. But, because I continue to pursue this line of work, I got quarantined, with pay, from my primary job, dispatching for pharmacies. (All of my jobs are in logistics, and all are in the same city. Nice, huh?) And it so happens that my wife is working for the #2 type of OK places: grocery stores. At her location, things have calmed down considerably this week while she's been on vacation. The Friday and Saturday before that, however, it was an absolute madhouse! No major store is very well stocked with much of anything, even now. That's the degree to which folks panicked after our President declared a national emergency. The freeways that are so infamous are now basically traffic-free. This virus has done what nothing else could do: weed out the idiots who don't need to be on the road. Here's the link to an article that sums up what we "out here" need to know about Newsom's ruling. Please stay safe and well, everyone. www.latimes.com/california/story/2020-03-19/here-are-the-new-rules-as-newsom-orders-all-californians-to-stay-at-home

Metro Detroit here. Our governor placed us under the "Stay Safe, Stay Home" directive effective 12:01am this morning. It stays in place through April 13. I purchased my needed food items well in advance (no hoarding) and have enough meals to last me this week and next. I split last week working at work and working from home. Our campus is now closed to all employees now so it's work from home for three weeks. I'm not going stir crazy... yet.
My brother is in retail, and his store closed last night. He gets up to 8 weeks of pay if his store is closed that long. If closed longer, he won't get paid but his company will provide health benefits. He's pretty fortunate that they offer that.
Two weeks ago, Michigan reported its first two positive cases of the virus. As of this morning, there are 1,791 diagnosed with the Coronavirus with 24 deceased in Michigan.
Stay safe, stay healthy, keep your feet in the ground and keep reaching for the stars... and keep your radio tuned right where it is.

Wow. That's a quick spread in Michigan. Scary quick.
On a lighter note, it's appropriate that someone in Casey's hometown should be the one to quote him in this thread. Nice.

Cocoa, Fl here... this situation is certainly concerning to say the least. The wife and I are in great shape financially, but feel bad for those who aren’t. We’ll be able to assist some of those in need. We’re good on food, necessities, etc. Both retired, thankful for that. We both worked for Publix Supermarkets for our careers. Feel bad for all those who’ve lost their jobs, but also feel bad for those who have to work any kind of retail. We have quite a few friends in the healthcare field. What they’re going through is terrifying. Personally, I actually like this way of living, but I realize that’s an odd thing. I could be a hermit if need be. I actually stay busier than I’d like in my retirement so this past week or so has been nice, yet so sad for all those who are hurting. Listening to a lot of AT40 ‘s and other shows I have, that’s the good part of this. Praying for our nation and world.

Charlotte, NC checking in. We are in a "stay safe, stay home" county until April 16. Our daughter's kindergarten is closed until May 15. My wife and I are fine financially, and both of our jobs are now WFH. I'm an insurance underwriter, and she's a cancer research nurse. Her father is staying with us for support and home-schooling. He lost his wife of 47 years on March 8th, my mother-in-law.
On a lighter note, it's nice to listen to late-March countdowns. I've rotated between SXM 1981 and 1982 as well as Rick Dees 1989 and 1991.

Hope everyone is in good health at the moment.here in the Uk we have been under Lockdown conditions now for 4 days and apart from being able to go out for food and a brief period of exercise we are forced to stay in doors or risk getting a fine by the police.i have a feeling over the next few weeks the sitiation will get even worse,it just feels weird being confined and knowing it might have to last for the next 3 months but if it helps stop the spread of the virus then i'm OK with it(And unlike donald trump who feels it will be over by easter our prime minister has said we have to be prepared for the long game )

Here in Georgia: the schools have been shut down for the last couple of weeks and the governor of our state just issued an order to keep them closed until April 24th. Unfortunately, the pollen season just got underway here in the Atlanta area so it might be difficult for some people to tell the difference between suffering with allergies or the Covid-19 virus. By the way, while most cities record their pollen count in the hundreds of particles in the air, more typically it is in the thousands here on an annual basis (it leaves a yellow film on cars, the ground and area lakes and streams). Many people have lost their jobs during this temporary shut down, which only allows essential businesses to stay open--or people that can work their jobs from home. It is sad to see many things in bloom and knowing that most outdoor activities are postponed or cancelled. It reminds me of one of my late father's favorite passages from the Bible--And this too shall pass..
