Not so much of an error but does anyone know what those A's and B's next to each song title on the cue sheets mean?? It has to do with publishing and payouts to songwriters. "A" stands for ASCAP; "B" stands for BMI.

There are no real differences between the two non-profit performance rights organizations. ASCAP is the older of the two, but both are huge, and control the vast majority of music publishing in the United States. ASCAP, founded in 1914, stands for American Society of Composers, Authors, and Publishers. They control over 16 million musical works. BMI is short for Broadcast Music, incorporated. Founded in 1939, they control over 20.6 million musical works.

Next week's show (11/20/76) included an extra in the first hour, Aretha Franklin's "(Sweet Sweet Baby) Since You've Been Gone", which Premiere made optional. It doesn't appear anywhere on the original cue sheet.

On the 12/26/70 cue sheets, "closing" is misspelled "closoing" at the end.

On 3/25/72, hosted by Dick Clark, the #38 song by Honey Cone is listed as "They Say I Found Myself", when it was really "The Day I Found Myself".
Also, at #21 is "Ain't Understanding Mellow", a duet between Jerry Butler and Brenda Lee Eager. Brenda isn't listed on the cue sheet, though she was credited on both the record label and in Billboard. And #23 is "Runnin' Away" by "Sly and Family Stone" (no "the" which was part of their billing.)

Oops, listening to the show from Jan 22, 1977--there is no song listed at #27 on the cue sheets--Ain't Nothing Like The Real Thing by Donny & Marie Osmond. It is the song that kicks off hour #2--maybe the typist thought the song wasn't real.

Sirius XM is supposed to play March 5, 1977, this weekend, and the cue sheet for that leaves out Al Green's "Let's Stay Together", heard as an extra between #6 and #5.
And last week they played February 26, 1972, which included as an extra "I'm a Believer" by the "Minkeys". The chart also includes the "Nickle Song" by Melanie.

Here's a cue sheet error from a Shadoe Stevens AT40 show: On the August 14, 1993 Shadoe AT40 show for the Flashback to the top 5 hits from the first Shadoe AT40 on August 13, 1988, the cue sheet says the Flashback is the top 5 songs from 8/13/1983!

The 4/12/1980 cue sheet shows This Guy's in Love with You in Hour 3 as a LDD when it was actually an AT40 Extra.

On May 11, 1974 cue sheet John Denver is at #27 with Sunshine On My Mind (?)--perhaps that should've been the inspiration for another song for John.

6/1/1985 (hosted by Charlie Van Dyke): The Luther Vandross song at #32 is listed as " 'Til My Baby".
