I was inspired by adam31 's post in the 80s show thread to start a thread dedicated to any typos that can be found on cue sheets from the Classic AT40 years (and beyond). The cue sheet that starts it off is the one mentioned in the linked post above: Top Newcomers Of The '80s. Page 1: - #40 - I Think We're Alone Now - Debbie Gibson
- #37 - Lost My Broken Heart - The Jets
Page 2: - #34 - Don't [You] Forget About Me - Simple Minds
Page 3: - #29 - Never Surrender - Corey Heart
Page 4: - #25 - Lovin' Every Miniute Of It - Loverboy
Page 5: - #20 - Faith - George Michaels
Page 6 (labeled as Page 5): - #13 - What I Like About You - Eurythmics
Page 8: - #1 - Papa, Don't Preach - Madonna

The 10/22/77 cue sheet has a segment with "Just Remember I Love You" by Firefall and "Baby, What a Big Surprise" by Chicago (at #18 and 17), plus Casey's intros/outros, coming in at only 3:56. But I've heard that show from both Premiere and Sirius XM and that segment isn't that short, which would have been some pretty extreme editing even for one of the later 3-hour shows.

On this week's 1983 show, the Tell Her About It artist was listed as Elt.

That segment is 5:56; just checked my copy of the original show. Not sure if Premiere edited either song in this segment for their broadcasts.

An error I spotted on the cue sheet for the 10/4/1980 show: The Legend of Wooley Swamp is credited to Bob Seger rather than the Charlie Daniels Band.

An error I spotted on the cue sheet for the 10/4/1980 show: The Legend of Wooley Swamp is credited to Bob Seger rather than the Charlie Daniels Band. Also somebody apparently didn't know that "Shuckatoom" was no longer the closing theme, and hadn't been for a year at that point. But it was still listed as such on most of the cue sheets until spring 1982 (around the same time when they started listing the outcues of the commercial breaks.)

The cue sheet for the 10/12/1985 show does not mention that St Elmo's Fire at #27 is also a LDD. ETA: Same thing with Cherish at #8.

On the 11/14/1981 cue sheet, Tryin' To Live My Life Without You at #5 is credited to Foreigner rather than Bob Seger (they must have had the group on their mind when typing it out because they had the #4 song with Waiting For a Girl Like You). Also, the #26 song is titled as Sausalito Summernight which I found out is or is not an error (depending on who you ask) after looking at the Wikipedia entry for the song

Check out the label image for "Sausalito": www.45cat.com/record/ry7339There are links to other images of the label from the original release earlier in '81, before Regency Records switched distribution from MCA to Atlantic here in the States. Also, you can look at the European releases.

This must have been a regular occurrence in 1985 when a song in the countdown was also used in a LDD because the cue sheet for the 11/9/1985 show doesn't mention that Boy in the Box at #27 was also a LDD song.

This is one I caught. On the cue sheet for 12/10/77, the final segment has a time of 3:13. Three songs were played in this segment.

I bet some here would LOVE that to be true...dramatically cutting down "You Light Up My Life". 😂😂😂 I think that was supposed to be 9:13. Otherwise that would have been six minutes after the #1 song, and if Casey had that long a story to tell or so much to say at the end of the show then presumably they would have cut out one or more of the show's three extras (why they had to include multiple extras in a show when they usually had to edit just to get the 40 chart songs into three hours is another issue altogether.) But couldn't someone when typing that up or editing things have noticed, "they can't cram three songs into three minutes" and made a correction? Also on the same cue sheet, apparently you have to go to Swingtown to open an account or seek a loan from the Steve Miller Bank.

I remember reading an article in 1977 where Miller got two checks from his record company, with each worth about 2 million dollars; so maybe he did open a bank.
