"Do You Want Me" by Salt n' Pepa was pretty bad, I remember at least one show where they looped the same verse like 3 or 4 times!

'Sussudio' was edited, for the 6-29-85 show. Premiere most likely did it.

Sweet's Love Is Like Oxygen might be the 2nd most butchered song. Seems every week, including the current 1978 show it was shortened beyond recognition.

In the 1978 optional extras they had a very short version of Anne Murray's "You Needed Me," about 1:30.

As it should be for the optional extras. Better those than the original show.

For obvious reasons, "Me So Horny" was edited every time it was played, even though it was the radio safe version from the As Clean As They Wanna Be album. *heh*

On this week's 1975 show, the Blackbirds were butchered!

Sirius XM recently played the 4/15/78 show when it debuted and pretty much the whole song was played. Otherwise almost every time half of it was cut out. Maybe if it had charted six months later (i.e. the four hour AT40s) it wouldn't have been chopped so much.

"Conga" in the 1986 Year End countdown was the worst.

How cool would it be to have an edited album version of the song- I would leave out the gentle part of the bridge and just play the part where the drums kick in and starts rockin'. I would have to fade the song out similar to the single version because the last minute of the song changes to a different part again. That would be a lot of editing of a seven minute song but it would be better than what we've gotten over the years.

I thought of two songs that were regularly butchered:"Nothing's Gonna Stop Us Now" & "I Made It Through The Rain".

I always thought that "Magic Man" by Heart got chopped down quite a bit. "Barracuda" had some strange edits to it also.

I thought of two songs that were regularly butchered:"Nothing's Gonna Stop Us Now" & "I Made It Through The Rain". The second of those was butchered so many times that I assumed that it was a song with only one verse (like "Ready To Take A Chance Again"). So naturally, I was thrown off when listening to a show in which they left the song as is and was like, wow, this song has a second verse after all!

I thought in 1991 "Mind's Playing Tricks on Me" by the Ghetto Boyz was edited to the first verse only.
