Anybody listen to the A-Z show on Mondays? I'm still trying to determine the logic behind what songs are in his "regular rotation." I know the station's focus is to shy away from the overplayed songs you hear on traditional radio, but sometimes I do hear such songs on this list. Meanwhile, other more forgotten songs are not played. (Tender Love, for example, was not featured, while Tender Lover was.)
I enjoy the show regardless, but my overly analytical mind notices these sorts of things and likes explanations!

Here is the playlist for part 6, 500-401: we.tl/t-ScL8g4cWYwSorry it took so long. At this part, Sam started to count down the top 50 artists in the countdown based on the amount of songs they have in the top 2500.

Tender Lover did not. It is gonna be different with everyone's location. There are gonna be many songs that everyone is not gonna agree about. This is just one of those cases.

Feel free to send me an email at thefoxoldies@yahoo.com. If you ever need a list of the songs that have been played. If it would make it easier on you. I can send you the list after each part has been aired. Thanks for tuning in.

I've been very much enjoying your Monday and Friday morning shows the past few months. It's interesting how different people have different perspectives on songs. I virtually never hear Tender Love, while I believe you did play Summer of '69 which I hear all the time. I've only been able to hear your shows because I'm presently unemployed. When I finally find work, I'm going to have to figure out a way to keep listening.

Yea Summer Of 69 is really one of those songs I put in there. But it really isn't in the regular rotation. Sometimes it's easier to just play it once to keep from ruffling some feathers. Use to love the song but that was several summer's ago. It is fried. Hope you find work soon, but at the same point don't want to lose a listener. It is a fine line on these songs that get played and don't get played, But the main focus is on the songs that have not been played in years. There are a few that really are fried that should be not in the regular rotation. But every once in awhile is ok and it keeps the repeats down. Good luck Michael! And thanks for listening!

Parts 11-25 are going to be must reads, as Sam's countdown from 2500 down to where we are now (1700) have been the best things my ears have heard this year 😂!

Here's the playlist for part 7, 400-301 we.tl/t-rSaM5zxhB2A big thanks to Sam for providing me with the song list along with the peaks! Saves me a lot of time listening through my recordings and filling in the rest and hopefully this means I can finish the rest of the top 1000 so I could move on to the 2500-1001 parts. The countdown of the top 50 artists also continues, and I find it funny that Jeffrey Osborne is in that one yet I don't think he has any songs in the top 1000! I also made a new column for weeks spent at #1 altogether since I'm up to that point.
