Here's an update on Wednesday's AMC shows. Sam left off on August 30, 1975 today. Next week should take us up to November 1975. The week after, July 22, will finish the songs that made the top 40 in 1975 then some extras that did not make the top 40 in 1975 will be played. The July 15 and July 22 shows will be live. Then starting July 29 the prerecorded AMC 1976 (the one with all the interviews with the musicians) will be taking its place, and Sam will be taking Wednesdays off and not be live.

Starting this Wednesday, July 29th, the Fox Oldies will be running the pre-recorded versions of American Music Chronological. This Wednesday will start with 1976 and the series will continue with the pre-recorded versions through 1983. This will take ballpark 12 months. About a year from now, starting with 1984, the live versions will start again. This show will run on Wednesday mornings for 4 hours beginning at 8am central time, 9am eastern.

I've been thinking about doing this for a while, but since Skyseth is not recording the 1982-1991 shows and making the playlists, I decided to start doing them myself. I don't know how long it'll take me to finish, but I'm starting with the top 1000 that started airing in May. By the way, these will just be the playlists because I don't think I can post the shows themselves. Here's the playlist for part 1, which was 1000-901: we.tl/t-c14p8147RS |
